I noticed a lack of Urban in this game, but I thought I just missed him when he was on the field. According to Sando, he didn't play at all. I hope the switch to Doucet continues, even with his Urbanesque drop today.

Early Doucet has overtaken Jerheme Urban as the Cardinals' fourth wide receiver. Nothing is permanent, of course, and Doucet did drop a pass Sunday. But it's looking like the Cardinals wanted to make this move. Urban played zero snaps. He did not even play on special teams.

With Boldin likely gone after the season, its time to groom Doucet to be the next #3 receiver. Just needs to stay healthy

He cannot have the drops though... you cannot afford to when you are 4th and 5th WR. Gotta get the most out of handful of opportunities you are going to get.

I would say it is a week or so over due.

Good move by our coach, and a move I can agree with.

Doucet will pay off later this year.

I hope the move pays off, definitely has a higher upside then Urban, however so far I'm not impressed with the kid. Too many drops, still seems to have an air of bewilderment out there even though this is his 3rd year in the league.

Seems like Doucet had as much of an impact as urban. I never notice when either of them is on the field. I remember Doucet dropping one in the hands.

I agree that Doucet has a much higher ceiling than Urban. That being said, he is injury prone & is equally capable of dropping passes. Whiz needs to keep Urban frothing at the mouth to get back in the game. I like those two guys battling for that last spot, as they are both capable of having a 100 yd game to break a team's back. If Doucet can stay healthy, I do see him replacing Boldin next year.

incredibly, the offense continues to evolve and get better, talentwise. Doucet is and will continue be much better than Urban and Beanie brings more to the table than TH. With Urban abd TH the offense was very good. With Doucet and Beanie they will become very elite.

I think Whiz was just giving Doucet a 1 game try-out. He didn't impress me much (with his dropped passes). I think Urban is bigger and faster so I expect to see him next week as the #4.

I'm just loving the depth we have. With Breaston limited everday in practice both Doucet or Urban can take reps with the #1 crew and thats such a bonus for our team on Sundays in the future.Near future of course.:DWhy does Doucet look so fragile? To be the same height&Weight as Boldin he' nothing like the guy in style or appearance. He's also yet to play as comfortably as he did with LSU in their Championship days either.

Well, Doucet has had his share of drops, that's for sure. Here's why he'll get better: He's healthy, finally. Once Boldin is traded/leaves for FA, Doucet moves up to the #3 slot and gets more reps in practice. More reps = familiarity with the QB and the routes. Doucet was great in college, he's more physical than the average receiver, and believe it or not, he can catch. The front office is doing a great job drafting guys to replace departing FA's. Will Davis/Cody Brown/Highsmith will eventually replace Dansby, Berry and Okeafor. Breaston will take over for Boldin, with Doucet sliding up to 3rd WR.

At least if he gets an extended run in the team the coaching staff will have a good idea what they have in Doucet and if they need to address the #3/4 spot in the future.
