I like Doug and Wolf and Burns and Gambo. Yea, Wolf says some crazy things, but I like hearing it.

I like the show...have listened for a long time..I was really disappointed in that whole exchange. I tend to side with Doug in this one but really?! With all of the serious crap going on in the world right now 2 grown men almost come to blows, live on air, over the Raiders?! Seriously those 2 need to grow up...and act like professionals and not like a couple thugs in the school yard.

This. It's why he always goes back to his go to ("when I played the game"). He uses his own experience to justify his knowledge but I have heard more crap come out of his mouth over the years versus just about any sports radio guy in the valley.

Uhm........it's a basin.

If you don't know that you shouldn't even comment! :D

Doug is truly horrendous. He brings zero and I mean NOTHING to sports talk radio. He is expert at one thing - pushing Wolf's buttons. Wolf can be over the top and his schtick can get old, but Doug's is even older and way more irritating to me... These two will not be together much longer.

Pretty much word-for-word how I feel too. How does that toolbag keep his job? I'd almost rather listen to Donovan McNuggets. But not quite.

To me Wolf is like a younger, football version of Bill Walton. Yes a lot of what he says is just flat out ridiculous but if you do not take things too seriously and listen with a sense of who the guy is and the era/experience he comes from it is really entertaining and insightful stuff. Like crack you up laughing type of stuff at times, yes, but you just have to kind of "get it" if you know what I mean. And it has nothing to do with what the guy has accomplished, but rather who he is.

Personally I love the ridiculous nature of his "Ryan Fitzpatrick reminds me of the coal miners at the bar I used to bounce at in West Virginia... or the references to Sun Tzu's The Art of War with players (Lorenzo Alexander) that have never read the book and are befuddled by the line of questioning. It's downright hilarious.

I don't think a lot of folks get it. Doug definitely doesn't get it. He went too far in this instance and couldn't have a disagreement without trying to put Wolf down. Wolf stood up for himself in the only way he knows how. Great Radio. Too bad I missed it live!

Only because back then every team had to be represented. He really was not a Pro Bowl caliber player. Shows you how bad the Cards were back then doesn't it?

He's an even worse talk show host.

There were multiple Cards in the Pro Bowl every year he made it, 86- Wolf and Sikahema, 87-Lomax, Sharpe, Wolf, 88- Sharpe, Sikahema, Wolf and 89- Camarillo, McDonald, Sharpe and Wold. He wasnt a token selection, dosnt make him less of a blow hard, but he was a good at what he was asked to do on the field.

This.

Also, i can't recall whether it was ever true that "every team had to be represented" in the Pro Bowl, but it wasn't true in 1986-89. For example, in 1986-88, no player from Tampa Bay was in the Pro Bowl.

Just keepin' it real!

Heard it live this morning. I have to admit, i was laughing really hard during this whole thing. The stupidity of it all.

Anyone hear Howard Stern teasing the ASU Radio announcers over their call of the hail mary? Was kinda cool to hear him joking about it. "These guys weren't even that excited when their kids were born"

I can't stand Doug. Every day he's making sly cheap shots toward Wolf and today he finally pushed him over the edge.

"This conversation is over your head and I apologize. I didn't mean to expose that".. Such a bitch move, and then he calls Wolf unprofessional when he says to shut up? What's unprofessional is the daily cheap shots, and always intentionally trying to make Wolf look bad. If Wolf was off the show, absolutely nobody would tune in to hear Doug's whiney voice talk about sports. He needs to learn his place and back off.

This is correct

Yeah, just pulled that one out of my arse...but he was very marginal to bad football player. Even worse talk show host.

Anyway, haven't listened to them for a long, long time because Doug is obnoxious as heck and Wolf is just annoying.

All good guys :)

over at least a year, i have been hearing passive aggressive sniping between the two -- to the point where i concluded that these two guys dont like each other --

not sure how often that is the case in talk radio-- but it cant be good

Wolf at his best is where he shares some football insight

Wolf at his worst is where he tries too hard to present the persona

+1

It gets old after listening to the show about 5 times, IMO.

Funny that Doug is a jerk for saying that Wolf is in over his head in a conversation yet Wolf stands on the fact that he knows more about things because he "played the game".

You have two people whom are saying the same thing to each other on different topics. So, two hypocrites have a radio show together, and don't get along ? How shocking.

LOL! Well played.

P.S.

Doug is such a baby, please get him off the air. Ron is what he is, I appreciate his gameday attitude and passion for the Cardinals. I don't know why others expect something different from him on the show. Doug is just plain useless and needs to move on.

Sooo.....the best sports show in the valley, bar none, is Bob Kemp's.

You may have a different opinion, but you would be wrong. :)

Wolf overreacted and got the most embarrassing line in there with his "DO YOU WANNA GO!?!?", but IMO Doug was the instigator and responsible for the escalation of the entire thing.

As others mentioned the "Its over your head and I didn't mean to expose that" was far more unprofessional than saying shut up. Then he basically dares Wolf to fight him by saying "You're not man enough to tell me to shut up"... then mocks Wolf's anger by saying "punch me if it makes you feel better". Then to top it all off the offers that lame non-apology afterwards where he said he didn't apologize for anything but the "not man enough" line.

Wolf ended up looking like the fool, but Doug was being a real manipulative piece of garbage.

I would not be too surprised if Doug is canned at some point soon. I'm not crazy about that show, Wolf's act is not entertaining enough to be on 5 days a week for 4 hours a day, but NO ONE listens to that show to hear what Doug thinks.

I agree with most of what you said. But "Do you wanna go?" was the best response Wolf could have had. I loved it.

 This exchange is hilarious. Kemp in a nutshell; he is knowledgable, but I can't stand listening to his arrogant routine.

Kemp that is, not Redheart! Ha ha.

Wolf is OK in doses. He explains things well sometimes, and some of the stuff he says is entertaining. Doug annoys me. He just sounds smarmy and arrogant.

Did you know Vince Marotta is on 103.9 in the morning and goes by Vinnie. He sounds so weird on 103.9 then he does on 98.7. Sound like he becomes a different character and it just sounds odd.
