Which will you be watching this weekend? I am so sick of Berman and the ilk, I think I will watch the NFL Network coverage, if they can take over one of the HD channels to broadcast.

I don't get NFLN, but I'd probably watch ESPN's coverage anyway. Whom I'll listen to is a different question. I'll probably listen to 1060 AM here in the Valley, since I can't stand Wolfley.

NFLN is much better.

Much better than hearing about ESPN's continuing coverage of all things Patriots, Cowboys, and Broncos.

I'll record both on the DVR and toggle back and forth during both days.

And, oh yeah, I might tune in to SIRIUS NFL Radio from time to time.

On the second day, the easiest way to stay sane is to hang out near the PC, keep the website up to date and keep hitting the refresh button on the War Room or nfl.com site as the names come whizzing off.

My only problem with NFLN is how strange Mayock's opinions are. Its ok to have an opinion, but to say Leinart is a 2nd round talent, and Cutler is the greatest thing since sliced bread is a bit much.

I like Mike Mayock. I think he is head and shoulders more knowledgable than Mel Kiper. I also can't hear anymore of Berman's cute little name games. That act is very tired from my perch.

I voted for ESPN, but no doubt I'll be switching between that and NFL network. Will probably have the radio on, and might flip on espnnews for good measure. Oh yeah and internet as well.

The only question really is, will I be at home or at the bar when pick #5 comes up. Because by the middle of the 1st round I'll be home watching the rest as I stated above.

Last season it was easier to see who was being drafted with ESPN. NFL Network had better coverage. Besides ESPN is the Wal-Mart of of sports. They cover all kinds of sports, but doesn't specialize in one area. NFL Network specializes well in the NFL. Since I only care about the Cardinals, I watch the NFL Network. They do have better coverage of the NFL than any other sports network there is.

Watch ESPN until the Cards pick. TIVO NFLN.

Listen on headphones to 620 and 910 (switching back and forth regularly) as well.

I will have a couple draft guides out, as well as ASFN and ESPN up on the PC

Full fledged media overload.

My family has learned just to ignore me this weekend.

I've trained mine so that they ignore me all the time.

Is NFLN going to be HD? If so, I'd watch that coverage. Otherwise, I'll be watching ESPN.

It's in HD if you get NFLN HD. For Cox customers in Phoenix, we only got NFLN HD during the football season, with it reverting back to one of the other HD channels in the offseason. Not sure what's going to happen on Saturday.

Not sure, I know if you clicked on some of the higher cox channels you'd find out that national geographic hd and ktvk hd should be added soon. Didn't find any other 'test channels' hiding around. Ofc they didn't display, but the channel names came up on it with their logos.

I would say nfln hd won't be on because if memory serves correct it ended right after the regular season and was not on for the playoffs. Not on for playoffs, probably not on for draft.

That said will espn FINALLY have hd coverage this year? I get a little mad about games or things like this not in hd. They've had almost a decade to prepare for it, and already have sportscenter hd multiple times a day. If they can't cart 1 hd camera and break out the hd film they use on sportscenter all the freaking time to show the college kids highlights, I will be a little ticked.

That said, about 1 minute later I'll be happy to be watching the draft lol.

NFLN all the way. I hate the way Berman teases the pick right before it's announced. It reminds me of watching a horror flick with someone who's already seen it and then warns you right before the scary part. Jerk

Every year NFLN seems to close the gap. ESPN has been doing this for 20+ years, and some of what they do does get tiresome and boring. Cris Mortensen is hands down the best NFL analyst on TV IMO, but all too often Berman doesn't let him get a word in edgewise. If ESPN didn't have Mortensen it would be an easy decision. Mel Kiper is good with his encyclopedic knowledge of players, but like Mortensen often gets cut off by Berman. ESPN could improve their coverage, but relegating Berman to a history segment every now and again, and letting Mike Tirico moderate both days.

I like ESPN's second day coverage with Tirico much, much better. He does a better job of sharing the "mike" (pun intended.)

NFLN has too many ex-players involved IMO. Nothing wrong with having ex-players involved, but they go to an extreme. I like Mike Mayock, but they need an equally strong counterpoint to him to argue some of his points. Some of his bizarre comments go unchallenged, unless Rich Eisen is feeling feisty that day.
