Oh You Negative Nellies!

I just got home from going to see "Draft Day". I loved it! If you are a football fan and love the draft and all the happenings that go on before the draft, I think you will be highly entertained. Just my opinion.

I loved it. It gives you a sense of how draft trade talk goes on the big

day. Jennifer Garner was lookin sweet and they even had Goodell to

announce the first rounder for the Cards. With the 4th pick in the 2014

NFL draft the Arizona Cardinals select Robert Starks CB Georgia Tech.

One of the worst movies I've seen in a really long time. My friend and I almost walked out.

For a movie that seemed like it was meant to cater to hardcore football fans, it completely misrepresented how the draft works, inserted hamfisted football references to try to make itself look smart, and wasn't well acted.

I love football and the draft, but this movie looks really bad. To me it's just another example of the over commercialization of the NFL under the Goodell period. Now I understand that the NFL did not make this film, but I am sure they had to give permission to use the teams, footage and everything else.

You'd think someone could make a compelling movie about Draft Day but I doubt the NFL would approve.

asuhoopsnut, thanks. And Stout, did you see the movie?

Of course--that's why I thought it was bloody awful ;)

Draft Day vs The Postman in a Costner death match, who wins?

Am I the only person in the world that liked parts of the Postman?

How did Robin Hood" Prince of Thieves not get considered? Didn't even try a Brit accent.

Hey hey hey--the movie rocked. He sucked, but the movie rocked. I mean, can you act any less than when he says, with no emotion, "I have a brother. I have a brother."? A clue--no.

It was a mediocre movie.

Without giving away everything, who trades the #1 pick for barrels of picks then trades them back later to the same team for a player they could've selected? Lol

Lots of non reality in this one, but I guess that what Hollywood does. :p

True but just this morning on Doug and Wolf they talked about the unlikely scenario where Houston picks Clowney who isn't a perfect scheme fit and then trades him for picks including one in the upper half of R1 and they take their QB. The rational is that Clowney is clearly the best prospect and the QB’s are not worthy of a #1 pick but if you could get one a little lower and leverage more picks with the #1 pick it makes sense. That was the basic premise of the movie trade. Yes both scenarios are fiction and would never happen.
