WOW!!! T-Wolves have a 25% chance to get the #1 pick and end up at #2. The Cavs have 2 picks in the lottery (theirs and the Clippers pick). It was the Clippers pick (2.8% chance) that was chosen as the #1 pick, so the Cavs own pick moves to #4. WOW! They made a great trade with the Clippers. They trade for Baron Davis, who rejuvenated his career in Cleveland AND they now get the #1 pick in the draft. Sooooo, now what do they do? They have Baron Davis at PG and have Hickson at PF with Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams as the 2 fighting for the #1 pick. Do they go Kyrie and try to deal Davis or play Kyrie as the PGoF? Do they take Williams and deal Hickson or play Williams as the PFoF? What do they do at #4? Take one of the International bigs?

To me, they could do Kyrie #1 and maybe Vesely #4 or they could go Williams #1 and Knight #4. Maybe look to deal Davis, Hickson, Jamison or Verejao? Or use #4 and one of those to move to up to #2 so they can get both Kyrie and Williams?

That is a hard one since you do not know how long Davis will stay motivated, so if you go with Derrick Williams and put him at the #3 spot along with Davis and Hickson, you would could have a solid core, if and only if Davis stays motivated. I think because of that, you go with Irving.

Maybe they can package Hickson and Davis to the Lakers for Bynum and someone else. Then you take Irving and the Kawhi Leonard at #4.

Who knows at this point.

If I were running the Cavs, I'd find some sucker willing to give me a good pick in this draft plus at least 2 more unprotected future firsts for the number one pick. And if I could find some sucker to give me a pick in the 9 to 15 range along with another future first, I'd trade the 4 pick also. I think there is a lot more talent in this draft than people realize but I'm not sure there's much difference between the top 3 and the top 15 or so.
