I remember when there were several draft sites that gave an overall rating for the player. (maybe you have to pay to see those these days?) If those are supposedly "fairly" accurate I think past years should be looked at and then base that on how solid the players look in this draft.
I think we need a CB & LB especially. (In the title put it in order of importance for us the wya I see it) Although fairly strong a WR I think a really great one could possibly make a huge difference in the win column. We probably need a guard as well but I don't seem them as highly ranked this year. QB is still the most important position but this class may just be really bad. How far down is Webb in total ranking compared to the other QB's?
I do think QB makes a huge difference in how well your team does and maybe many teams should draft a qb every second or third round for a few years if they have an aging QB since it such a crapshoot and their isn't a big drop in talent that year. A good QB on a bad team can still often have a respectable record. A bad QB on a good team is usually not going to go far and you usually need a really good QB to go all the way. I do think possibly the Cardinals have not invested enough in that position and they are running out of time.
I think if Lattimore, Foster or Mike Williams are available (The best at their position?) we should take them if their rating is a lot higher.
What do you think?
