We need to trade up to 1 or 2 & draft either Darnold or Mayfield imo. Those are the only two worth trading up for. If we can't make a trade then take BPA & one of the more of a project qb's in the later rounds.

I hope we pass on Mayfield.I think he won`t even come close to being Jake Plummer version 2 or 3or 4.

I do not think Keim has it in him to trade up for a QB but the way they are scouting out all these consensus top QBs which they absolutely know will be off the board early is one hell of a way to invest energy into just a smoke screen in my opinion

When scouting players it's not just for this year. They could be available in a trade or as a free agent in the not too distant future.

it would be gross negligence if the Cardinals passed on scouting the top QBs under the assumption they will be long gone by 15

its possible the scouting is all about "are any of these guys worth giving up a ton of picks for?"

If you say that you need to be willing to part with PP or DJ.

I read that Cleveland loves Sam Darnold.NYG want Rosen and Jets love Josh Allen. So if Buffalo has the hots for Mayfield they will have to do a trade like you suggesed.
If QBs go 1-3, I don't think there's any way that Cleveland passes on Barkley at 4. They already have a ton of picks. Bills would have to hope Elway doesn't love Mayfield and they'd have a shot.

Some of the visits are part of an agent-designed Tour of Americana strategy (i.e. they set up a tour of 6 or 7 NFL cities -players visits have more to do with being on the travel list than they do "team interest.").

I know I’m in the minority, but I would never take Barkley in the top five, and I would be skeptical of taking him in the top ten. I mean, he’s a good player and by all accounts a good person, but I just don’t like the idea of drafting a runningback that high. Yeah, we think he is a generational talent, but we thought the exact same thing about Reggie Bush, Trent Richardson and Darren McFadden. Obviously, there is also exceptions like Adrian Peterson and Ezekiel Elliot, but the game hasn’t changed that much concerning runningbacks as other positions has, other than they are not used as much as in the past, so I still think it’s a major risk to go down that road so early in the draft.

Neither Le’Veon Bell or David Johnson were drafted that high and they turned out okay.

I know this is a bit off topic, and just to bring it back, I think the Browns should take someone like Bradley Chubb or Minkah Fitzpatrick. They need good players.

many of the big mocks have them taking Barkley at #1 so NY dont get him, then grabbing Darnold at #4... would be a coup for the Browns if they pull that off.

If I am the Browns I am thinking of any way I can get Darnold and Barkley.. they really need something to get their fans hopeful about.

can you imagine how excited their fans would be...were they to get Darnold and Barkley,...and then make a trade for OBJ.... With Jarvis Landry and OBJ Taylor can at least get them to 8-8 with Barkley carrying the rock....and then they still have Darnold to look forward to.

Minkah Fitzpatrick might be the best player in the draft and I would take him over Barkley. I do not think Barkley is a generational running back that only comes along so often, and the other players at his position are not that far off from him

Some visits of prospects from schools I have never heard of...

Brandon Shed, WR, Hobart (PRO)
Nathan Shepherd, DT, Fort Hays State (WOR, PRI)
Tavierre Thomas, CB, Ferris State (PRI)

Since we always seem to draft guys from some obscure school, which one of those 3 is a Cardinal?
