According to KUPD this morning Mike Jurecki feels that after talking with coach Green he thinks that Cards will take one of the following players:

Fitsgareld
Mike William
Kevin Winslow Jr.
Sean Taylor

What do you guys think???

I think M Williams will have a great work out and end up going to the Raiders at 2, Gallery or a QB at 1. That leaves Larry Fitzgerald as the highest ranked player on the Cards board. I think the talk of Winslow and Taylor are guys the Cards land if they trade down a few spots at 5-8.

khilari, I think Denny is using Jurecki to disseminate odiferous male bovine offal. Furthermore, Jurecki is no dummy so he's playing right along with Denny.

I think Stout called it about right in this thread. He opined we would select a QB or Wilfork. I agree.

Green did say he wants to build this team up the middle, there are huge ????? marks at DT and QB. and wouldn't you say QB would be the most important position up the middle on offense and also the position with the least talent up the middle is DT. So I would not be surprised. Also WR is not a part of theteam included as being up the middle. I want WR this draft, but I could see this scenario playing out.

If we pass on Big Ben and/or Eli and Josh sucks it will be really bad.
What if Josh lights it up ever consider that possibility. I mean Green so far appears to like Josh are you saying that he is wrong ?

Thats great! Josh will certainly get his chance this year. But if he is not the answer this team cant afford to let Manning/Roth/Rivers pass by w/o a look.

I have said many times, I trust Greens ability to take a QB and let the system make him a solid starter. I am just not totally confident that Josh can do it, and if he fails I dont want to be staring at Preston Parsons or Shaun King as the future of this team!

If both QB's work out-Great! Trade one of them. AS you might have been able to tell this year, the NFL is not the same NFL of 10 years ago. Teams are willing and CAPable (pun intended) of trading big salaried guys and if you have 2 solid QB's n the roster there are certainly worse things to have!

# There's a lot of anticipation regarding Southern California wide receiver Mike Williams and his upcoming personal workout. The word out of Williams' camp is that he will run a solid 4.4-4.45 when timed for scouts. If he can back that up, it could move him ahead of Pittsburgh's Larry Fitzgerald on some boards.

# One player whose stock has slipped among some key decision-makers is Texas' Roy Williams. Many teams are looking closely at tests done on his knees and ankles to determine their stability and whether he can remain durable over the long term.

# Archie Manning is playing a big role in influencing where Eli Manning will end up in the first round. The elder Manning doesn't want him landing in San Diego. The Manning camp is pushing hard to influence the Giants to do whatever it takes to move up for Eli and have him in the spotlight of the New York media market.

# A number of teams are scared off by Louisiana State defensive end Marquise Hill due to a bipolar condition. Remember former Michigan State first-round disaster Dimitrius Underwood?

# Some scouts are turned off by Miami safety Sean Taylor, who doesn't seem to be taking the scouting process very seriously, but don't expect it to hurt Taylor much. The people making the draft decisions crave his physical skills.

# Scouts are beginning to realize they initially rated Ohio State cornerback Chris Gamble too high due to all the hype he received for playing both ways in college.

# Virginia Tech cornerback DeAngelo Hall doesn't quite have the speed once projected, but he'll remain the first or second cornerback off the board. It wouldn't be a shock to see Southern California's Dunta Robinson as the top corner off the board. He's the most polished of the cornerbacks.

# There's a possibility that Arkansas offensive tackle Shawn Andrews could drop slightly because he's not as athletic as scouts projected.

Andrews sured wowed the scouts this week with his weight at 345. ran a 5.1 40 and his reps were still there after dropping 50lbs. He is on the rise as will be Cedric Cobbs after his workout for the scouts.
