Draft week mock

I’m sure this will be 100% accurate. But here’s my Cards draft week mock.

Round 1-Jihaad Campbell, LB, Bama:
I just think he’s a perfect fit for the defense and can be a major playmaker. I know the positional value isn’t there but he can rush the passer too.

Round 2- Kevin Booker, OG, Bama:
I like him or Donovan Jackson. He’s mocked to the Cards in round 2 by Kiper/Yates. OGs tend to slide.

Round 3-Ozzie Trapillo, OT, Boston College: Cards continue to upgrade OL. Huge ROT that can take over for Jonah Williams. He’s a great run blocker, good pass blocker, and gives the Cards bookend tackles.

Round 4-Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State:
His talent is just too good to pass on. He’s a tough call. Are you getting the guy who plays great every other year or the so-so guy every other year?

Round 4(trade)-Cam Skatebo, RB ASU:
I think the Cards will make a trade to get him. One way or another, I think Mikey calls the shot for him to be a Cardinal.

Again, it's just sims, but I tend to feel like trading up from our 2nd round pick presents more value in terms of players than staying put. I haven't tried trading up into the 1st round, but I feel like the trade off is worth it when I do move up into the early 2nd.

Absolutely. I've tried trading down, but weirdly, I don't think another 3rd or 4th round pick really helps this roster because the depth is mostly there.

Walking away with Tet AND Mike Green could be franchise altering. You make that trade.

Skattebo might be better than Benson, Demercado, and Dallas (Carter is PS).

I really like OG Tyler Booker. But no way he gets out of the first round. Just think he might be a reach at 16 and there will be a better player there most likely a DT or ER.

I definitely could see the Cardinals trading down into the 20’s & then drafting Booker. I would be fine with that scenario.

I’ve heard that only 4 teams have even reached out to Green. He has 2 separate sexual assault allegations against him. He’s a talented player, but I’d be shocked if the Cardinals would even consider taking on those issues.

Maybe but they signed and then re-signed Zay Jones who was actually arrested. Mike Green has never been detained by law enforcement in either situation based on what has been shared. Nothing formal at all. Doesn't seem like consistent decision making.

Entirely different allegations. Zay Jones was accused of misdemeanor domestic battery. Daniel Green had not 1, but 2 sexual assault accusations. One was in high school & the other at UVA.
