It's no wonder you like that web site so much. They have your three favorite players in the draft going #5, #7, and #10. :)

I think you and I agree regarding Okafor. I think he might be a nice addition to the Phoenix Suns. I think he would help them win basketball games. I don't think he would ever provide the kind of impact you expect from a top draft pick to the Phoenix Suns. I was originally very high on Deng, but he has not impressed me the last several times I watched him. In fact I'm not sure if he will even come out this summer.

I still haven't seen Andrew Bogut play yet.

Your idea about trading down is interesting, but I'm not sure they will pass on Howard if he is nearly as good as projected to be. He's 6'11", and I'll bet he's at least 240 lbs. by the time of the draft. He is also supposed to have a great attitude. He's a devout Christian, so he and Jake Voskuhl can go to church together on Sundays while the rest of the team are playing video games. :)

i think dwight howard and amare can match up well on a front court. put howard at center and amare at power forward and you have a team front line that most teams cant match up with in speed and leaping ability. howard doesnt have as good of a back to the basket game and he ends up playing more like a guard as for going outside.

I havent seen Howard playyet, but I thought people were claiming he was going to be a SF, and if he bulked up he could be a PF.

The typical description is that Howard will be Kevin Garnett type player, who can play all three front court positions. If he really has those kind of skills, then you don't worry about where he is going to play.

I suspect that Okafor will be everyone's second choice because Howard has so much potential. In any case, I have no doubt that Okafor will be an instant contributor and in impact player. So while no one would take Ben Wallace over kevin Garnett, that does not mean having Big Ben would be a bad thing.

BTW, I really do like this site. It is very important to have more than one detailed perspective on players.

We've been talking a lot about Howard and Okafor, but even though we'll have a lot of ping pong balls, our odds on getting one of the top two picks aren't very good. Josh Smith seems to be the only other name people are talking about with this draft and our pick. But what about others?

Right now, this draft looks weak, but all drafts look pretty weak in February. Hopefully we'll see some consistency in the prospect lists. As it stands, those lists keep changing like crazy.
