According to a KTAR text message I just got, the Suns officially signed Dragic to a 3 year deal today.

Congratulations to Kerr. I for one doubted he could pull this off and I get the impression so did most of the NBA.

I'm glad Dragic is getting a few days in the workouts. They are working on full court stuff and that is really important.

I don't buy into the front office hype on either of these guys. I can't wait for pre-season to start so we can see what these guys can really do. The Suns claim of having all the pieces they wanted out of the draft is now complete. Can't wait to get started.

One week from tomorrow camp opens. Should we count the minutes?:D

See link below to a detailed article from the Suns official site written by Stefan Swiat, Suns.com.

I have been thinking about Dragic getting some playing time at SG while he develops his PG skills. I think this could work in stretches.

But in the meantime, Phoenix hopes it has another player in the rotation that fits into its system. Due to his 6-7 wingspan and quickness, Griffin believes that his versatility will greatly improve his chances of earning playing time. With Nash being a constant on the floor, the ability to play alongside of Nash and defend shooting guards can only help Dragic log more minutes than he would see as merely a backup at point.

I'll take the idea of Dragic gaining experience as a swing man vs. counting on Barbosa in that role.

Leandro has too many deficiencies at each position. Dragic could grow into alot of positives as a combo guard.

oh man I am happy about this....I hope since the Suns got him from the Sterns he will be a curse to them for his entire career....How is that for wishful thinking

That is pretty wishful considering the Suns also got Barbosa from them.
