AZ Born and Bred!!!
According to a KTAR text message I just got, the Suns officially signed Dragic to a 3 year deal today.
I don't buy into the front office hype on either of these guys. I can't wait for pre-season to start so we can see what these guys can really do. The Suns claim of having all the pieces they wanted out of the draft is now complete. Can't wait to get started.
But in the meantime, Phoenix hopes it has another player in the rotation that fits into its system. Due to his 6-7 wingspan and quickness, Griffin believes that his versatility will greatly improve his chances of earning playing time. With Nash being a constant on the floor, the ability to play alongside of Nash and defend shooting guards can only help Dragic log more minutes than he would see as merely a backup at point.
See link below to a detailed article from the Suns official site written by Stefan Swiat, Suns.com.
I have been thinking about Dragic getting some playing time at SG while he develops his PG skills. I think this could work in stretches.
