Drake basketball’s Cam Manyawu will enter the transfer portal, according to reports.
The 6-foot-8 forward finished his first season with the Bulldogs on Saturday after transferring from Wyoming ahead of the 2024-25 season.
As a sophomore, Manyawu started all 35 games this season. He averaged 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 18.8 minutes of playing time per game. He recorded five double-figure rebounding games, including a 12-rebound performance against UIC and an 11-rebound, 18-point game against Vanderbilt in the Charleston Classic championship game.
One year after undergoing a complete roster rebuild – after almost all of Drake’s roster entered the portal following the departure of head coach Darian DeVries – the Bulldogs athletic department finds itself in a similar situation again.

Iowa announced it had hired Ben McCollum as its new head basketball coach on Monday, taking over after Fran McCaffery’s exit.
McCollum compiled a 31-4 overall record in one season at Drake, his first year leading a Division I program. He coached the Bulldogs to the regular season and tournament titles in the Missouri Valley Conference and pushed Drake to its first first-round win in the NCAA Tournament since 1971.
