How many years left does DJ have? What is the cap hit of they unload him in the off-season?
He played well. I’ve seen him very little since the Fins have sucked so much. He surprised me but let’s not put him in Canton yet.
Very impressed he did this on 1 days of practice & knowing the offense
But their pass D just as bad as ours, maybe worse. I’ll be mad if we don’t air it out a lot.Buc's got number 1 run d in league. He does same thing next week, you sign that man.
I think that's a reach, he's never been a primary guy anywhere in college or the NFL. Durability is hard to judge. He had 233 carries in FOUR years at Alabama! 333 in 54 games in the NFL before tonight.
But he's got some talent, he catches the ball well so he's a good fit for the offense. Him and Chase running the ball look like they could be a nice combo.
It's just one game but it was against one of the better defenses in the NFL so if he can do it against the 49'ers he can do it against weaker defenses. It was just one game. Let's pause and see how Drake does from here. He really had a fantastic game, though

Can we just put 4 WR, 3 RB, Murray and 3 offensive lineman on the field? It's not like we have an offensive line anyway.
David wasn’t even with the team tonight... I know he has a family but cmon man, your team is hurting without you. I think drake/Edmonds could be the future. Maybe find a trade for DJ. Question is, do we eat the cap hit if he is traded? Wouldn’t make sense to move David being how much he’s paid.
Drake and dj in the backfield seems ruthless.

yeah... if DJ gets healthy, having those two guys on the field in a couple weeks and for the rest of this season should turn this offense up a notch against bad and good teams, alike.
It came at a good time, the trade was needed & for one game it paid off. Had it not been for his performance, we would've gotten destroyed. I never said anything about resigning him, but if he plays anywhere close to that the rest of the season...................? It would be stupid not to.But will he is the question. That remains to be seen and I think we can wait to extend him until he maybe proves himself?
People, c'mom man! Drake has had exactly 4 other games in his career like he had last night. He has played in 55 games thus far in his career. Get a grip. Do you think he's going to suddenly produce like this game after game? Highly improbable. I highly doubt he is suddenly going to force Johnson and Edmonds to take a back seat in snaps either.
