A cross-country race? I keep expecting a Ferrari to pull up with Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin driving.

My thoughts exactly. :D
The show doesn't really do anything for me.

Lots of action, but there is no substance to it--I don't really care about any of the characters, even Nathan Fillion's character.

Canceled!

Exclusive: Fox Cancels Drive
Drive has been impounded.

Multiple sources confirm that Fox has axed the Tim Minear creation after less than three weeks on the air. I'll go out on a limb and say the show's crappy ratings were to blame. House encores will take over its Monday/8 pm time slot.

There is one piece of good news: I'm hearing the final two unaired Drive eps may get burned off on consecutive Fridays in May.

Developing...

Disappointing. I was really digging this show after catching up on the episodes that I missed. (As impossible and the premise was, and as bad as some of the acting was.)

Funny, I canceled it myself tonight...partway through the third episode and the two women who were eliminated from the race just drove around until the found someone heading in the OPPOSITE direction as them, and people who left so long before they did there is no way they'd pass them.

It's like there is only one road in the entire country that they all just drive on.

I dunno...I liked it...but having to suspend my belief that much just seemed TOO much.

FOX has got to be the worst network on television. This network used to pride itself on these type of shows when the TV division was just getting off the ground. They have the quickets hook with new shows now. What about trying a new time slot? Fox is a joke.

I guess you're one of the minority who actually liked that show.

I didn't think it was great but was OK. However, that wasn't my point. I could give a list of shows that Fox has canceled either because they didn't give it a shot to build an audience, bad promotion etc...FOX's television network was founded on taking risks on shows. They were not afraid to move things to another night etc.. FOX has a quicker hook then any network now.

Bummer. The show was pretty dumb, but I still wanted to find out what was going on. This is the 2nd show that has been cancelled that I've invested time into. I think I'll go back to waiting for shows to be successful before jumping on board.

Any new show I now record the first 6 episodes before I start watching it. I dont want to waste my time with something that will only be canceled that quick. I had the 3 episodes of Drive recorded and I just deleted them last night. Didnt watch a single one of them.

I am using the same strategy for Traveler as well right now.
