Philadelphia at Arizona: The Cardinals haven't started a season 3-0 since 1974. That season, they were still located in St. Louis, Dan Dierdorf was a third-year offensive lineman out of Michigan, and Jim Hart was the quarterback. The No. 1 song on the Billboard charts was Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were.” I must say, I loved Kevin Kolb’s response to being asked if he was surprised by his team’s win in New England last week. Kolb said, without irony, “It wasn't like we played a perfect game. We have a lot to improve on.” No big thang. I love this Cardinals team, especially the defense, but I think Michael Vick and Co. find a way in the desert on Sunday. They've won their first two games by a point. Why not make it three?

The Pick: Eagles 28, Cardinals 27

Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) at Arizona Cardinals (2-0)
The Eagles have won ugly twice. They're the first team in NFL history to win their first two games by one point each. What can they do for an encore? Shut down their former McNabb heir, Kevin Kolb. I see the Eagles turning the turnover tables, with Mike Vick protecting the ball (finally) and making fewer mistakes than Kolb. That wins this battle of top-10 defenses.

Who picked this as one of the games of the week? Well, it is. The Cardinals went to New England and won, which says a lot. That defense is impressive. The Eagles have won two games while turning it over nine times. They're either good to overcome them or lucky. Kevin Kolb faces his former team with a chance to get the Cardinals to 3-0. I say he does. Cardinals 21, Eagles 20

Allen, Golic, Hoge, Jaws, Schlereth, Johnson, Accuscore, Pickem: Eagles
Mort, Schefter, Wickersham, Jackson, Ditka, Carter: Cardinals

Eagles at Cardinals

MDS’s take: Raise your hand if you picked this one as a Week Two matchup of 2-0 teams. The Cardinals’ defense is a lot better than people are giving them credit for, and they’ll force Michael Vick to keep turning the ball over. But the Eagles’ defense will have a big game against old teammate Kevin Kolb, too, and I like Philadelphia to win a low-scoring game.

MDS’s pick: Eagles 13, Cardinals 10.

Florio’s take: Kevin Kolb gets a chance to do to John Skelton what Mike Vick did to Kevin Kolb two years ago, in a game against Mike Vick. The defense, however, will be the difference. If Ray Horton’s unit confused Tom Brady, it will turn Mike Vick into a turnover machine. Wait, he already is one.

Florio’s pick: Cardinals 17, Eagles 13.

lmao. That's not very nice. I think Vick will calm down this season. I just hope it isn't Sunday

Lesson Learned: Don't get too high or too low (yada, yada). Don't fall for all the positive (or negative hype) about either team (we're only 2 games in).

Each team has its strengths/vulnerabilities. How they all add up is open to debate. The ball is oblonged-shaped and bounces funny. Quirky plays will probably determine the outcome of this football game.

Excuse me. This is ASFN. Take your logic and reason someplace else where it is welcome!

Quirky plays seem to determine the outcome of almost all Cardinal football games.

Lesson learned: Get high on the Cardinals all season long but pretend to be low because of the Duckjake jinx.

Experts don't play the game.

Like someone said, don't get too high or two low, one game at a time, it happens on the field everything else is just noise.

No expert would of picked the Cardinals to go into NE and win but they did, so the experts are all wrong a lot too.

The good thing about football in the NFL is that teams control their own destiny, it's fun as fans to pick games, it's fun to listen to the experts but experts can't measure heart.

This team has heart, and that's really cool!!! :)

Desertdawg aint no professional, except for being an A hole. But I see us winning this game, this team has come along way the last 10 months. Horton's heroes. Running game. Fitz 100 yards. 1 2 3, that's what we need.

doubt Fitz gets that many yards, but his presence will guarantee all the role players much better games

Yamon I don't know what's gonna happen. But this is one of those years where we haven't shot our foot early on. Defense so hungry. Fans dying for it, we gonna bring it. These Eagles are legal, and in our back yard, totaly do-able. Folks bitchen about trades...let's see what we do in our nest. Let's send these fools the same message we've been sending for a while now. We must need some better service, because the message is clear.

Tell your homies to shut it.

Cardinals are for real.

Better ask somebody because your QB will be running for his/her life.

Red over Green today, birdgang stomps, Redzone is called RED for a muthafukkin reason!!!!!

Cardinals, wake up fired up, get pumped. Everygame is the season, everything matters, send the folks that suck home...don't let them watch at your house.

We have to do this, because it's gonna happen. Heart is there, we are there...poor eggos are just a piece of our history.

Get loud, stay proud, it aint over till it's over, try and kick a field goal on us.

lmao. Glad I wasn't the only one out drinking tonight

I'll be there tomorrow. Gotta decide if it's gonna be Fitz, AW, DD, or KK I'm rocking in black though. Think I'm gonna go D and flip a coin for AW or DD

The Cardinals will lose this game; we never win games like this one especially after a big win the week before.

Sad but true. We lose today and then beat the Eagles in the Wildcard round at our house.

Ryan Lindley, NFC offensive rookie of the year, throws 3 TD passes to William Powell in that Wildcard game.

Win or lose, it's looking like we're starting to get some respect.

true, but we are the cardinals lose today and we are done, (in the eyes of the nfl)
if we lose today we will have to go undefeated the rest of the year to even get a mention as possibly the second worst playoff team in nfl history, bested only by our 2008 squad :D
