Eagles | Asking for TWO 2nd rounders for CB Samuel

Yahoo! Sports' Michael Silver reports the Eagles have been asking for a pair of second-round picks in exchange for CB Asante Samuel.

No team has been willing to bite at that price, and GM Howie Roseman now says he's comfortable with three star corners on the roster. Coach Andy Reid seconds that outlook, stating Tuesday, "It's what I told him initially and what I've told you, he's on our football team. That's what he is."

I mean, it is completely futile to try and re-sign him as we are just going to lose him next offseason for nothing because he has no faith in the coaches or the organization. Might as well just do it and be done. Hell, let's see if they want us to include Beanie Wells as well.

I say if the Cardinals do have 2 2nd round picks they should go and pull a deal Samuel would help to replace drc somewhat. This would help ease not getting Edwards or Evans

All the SEC fans I talk to around here say PP21 is the real deal. So that trio looks like it could be the answer for the Cards.

Just as an aside remember when Horton said he had to coach the Cardinal out of McFadden and that was referring to McF's not turning to find the ball?

Now all of a sudden we see Jefferson making real nice plays on the ball because he's looking and finding it. Could be a sign that maybe our new DC will be bringing improvements to our Defense.

Odds are slim though because our Defense always sucks.
