That's because Lewis turned on others before they could turn on him. Vick didn't turn on his dudes; they turned on him from the get go. I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing. It just is what it is. Authorities never found the white suit Lewis was wearing the night of the murder. Coincidence? I think not.

I think Vick is a major jerk for what he did, but he admitted to his crime (whether he had a choice to or not) and did his time. Lewis got away with one ... a big one.

I'm not saying Lewis is not guilty,I think he is. I just think many in the public are blind to most facts and turn a blind eye since he was found innocent. Many people backed Vick even while in prison too. Remember this.....

Lewis was never found innocent. He made a plea deal to testify against others which granted him immunity. He plead guilty to obstructing justice. The two guys he testified against were acquitted. I've read a ton on this issue and there is no doubt in my mind that, even if Lewis didn't kill anyone, he was there and he knows who did. And, that, in my mind, should eliminate you from being an NFL MVP. Yeah, I get that your personal life shouldn't interfere with your professional life and blah, blah, blah. Present all the arguments you want. I've heard them for years and nothing will change my mind on this topic. (Not addressing you, Banky, just talking in general.)

Portis is a moron, but he's entitled to his opinion. That doesn't change anything Vick did. Had no one turned on Vick, then he might have gotten off. I'm not saying that should have happened or it's okay, cause it's not. Not okay at all. I'd say the difference is there was more evidence against Vick and more people willing to talk. Lewis got rid of evidence that would convict him somewhere along the way.

Heh - I just watched the team I follow lose in back to back weeks by a combined 70+ points ..... yet still made sure that my plane will touch down in orlando on sunday to give me enough time to get to the hotel, set up my wireless and fire up sunday ticket to go

I also had to question when choosing which college to attend the reason why I was choosing them .... was it because I liked the football team or the school ..... so of course I overreact and make the poor decision to go to a school with no football team

People still care, and they have a right to care. I still think what he did makes him a scumbag.

There are lots of players that have done things that are questionable in the fans' eyes. We have a right to not like a player based on his personal choices and decisions.
