There are three games next year that could very well end up being on Sunday night as well. The Patriots are coming here and we'll have road games at Carolina and the NFC North champ which will probably be Green Bay.

This screams get the Eagles in the playoffs... Actually don't like this. The calls will not go our way.

Meh. Screams it's an attractive game with teams in the middle of division races. Bengals 9ers only has implications for one team besides "earning" the #1 pick. Plus, that's a likely blowout.

Well if we win Thursday, the Eagles game sets us up for winning the division in primetime in front of the whole country.

While I feel a little bit like Little Lord Fauntleroy complaining about it, I am kind of bummed because this likely means the GB game wont be flexed. If I were a conspiracy theorist I would say it was because the NFL doesn't want to hurt the Packers fans travelling for that game.

I cant handle all these national games. Too stressed to watch. I prefer the Cardinals to fly under the radar!

Nope, it's all about the schedule. Fox has the doubleheader that week and there are only two games scheduled for the afternoon slot. GB at Arizona and St Louis at Seattle. Fox is going to protect the GB Arizona game because they need a nationally relevant game for that slot. St Louis at Seattle isn't that. I think that the Pittsburgh and Baltimore game is going to get flexed out but my guess is that the Patriots Jets game is the one that will get flexed into it.

Haha-----it would appear that the East Coast Sports Conglomerate is hoping for yet another Eagles surprise thrashing of a top contender on prime time TV. I am betting that they are totally stoked with the way the upstart Eagles handled the Pats in Foxborough, and truly believe that it was due to the genius of Chip Kelley and not the depletion of targets for Brady to throw to.

Eagles fans think it was flexed for them since this is their 3rd SNF game this year as well. LOL

That makes sense.

Or, Denver/Pitt and CAR/NYG were protected and what other games were available?

They also think their team now has a chance to make it to the playoffs because they beat the Patriots on a bad night with zero receiving threats. Let them believe what they want.

Eagles have had 6 nationally televised games for some odd reason. They've played 4 already and have 2 upcoming including our game and the following Saturday night against Washington.

So maybe NBC wanted the Cards one more time. Packers game is out if it is protected by FOX. Do they really want to have both AZ/SEA games (especially considering the rumor that it was the lowest rated SNF game this year)?

That leaves Philly.

NBC has loved having the Cards on Sunday night this season. Combined with the Chip Kelly factor, I think this flex was a no-brainier for the them.

Pretty surprised neither of those games got flexed either. Maybe the NFL is forcing NBC's hand so people get into the team that will eventually be in the Super Bowl!

FOX and CBS has first refusal on one game each. CBS has the rights to PIT-DEN, Fox to CAR-NYG, so both might have been unavailable.

And also quite sure that FOX will chose GB-AZ as their primetime game.

No-brainer for NBC when you figure fans of Dallas, New York Giants and Washington, not to mention Seattle, will have a rooting interest in the game.

Probably more fans rooting for the Cardinals than in other game ever when you consider the fan bases of the Cowboys, Giants and Redskins. :D
