I saw an article today that speculated Ryan Matthews (RB - San Diego) could be a value pickup in the mold that Keim likes. He missed a lot of time this year with an ankle injury.

I was strongly considering Matthews. Good call!

I think he's only had one season where he wasn't injured.

Might be a good pick-up, but it would be risky.

David Harris is a stud and is someone that I have wanted here for a long time. One of the best in the game.

Jason Worilds is someone that I'd love to have but Pittsburgh is probably going to want to keep him. Jerry Hughes is another option that I'd be interested in.

Mike Iupati, Justin Houston, Tamba Hali are all great players I'd love to have here but I don't think we'll make a huge splash on the top names this year.

I don't want Mike Iupati back....in fact I want the whole 49ers offensive line blown up and new one brought in.

I'll take your word for it Mitch. Do you think Orakpo can get back to his original form? Sure would be nice to pick up a 9 or 10 sack man. I also think Derrick Morgan would fit into Todd Bowles defensive scheme very well.

I think the most important area to address is our lack of a pass rush, even more so than QB if Palmer comes back healthy. Who do you think would be the best guy for that?

Orakpo missed this year to injury, didn't he? Probably too high priced anyway. As for Morgan they'd have to coach the Tennessee out of him...:)

I like Vereen but I don't know if he really brings anything to the table that we can't get from Ellington or Kerwynn. I'd be all for Spiller or giving Matthews a shot on a 1 year deal.

Mitch, I like Orlando Franklin G/T, over Mike Iupati G, for the following reasons. Franklin is as good a run blocker as Iupati is, but is a much better pass blocker. He has already successfully made the T to G trainsition, and therefore is more valuable as he can play both positions. I believe he is also a year younger. I also feel that Iupati will command a larger salary coming from San Francisco's line. Denver OL are not hardly ever heard from, and are under the radar so to speak.

I am good with Franklin!

Yes, me too. I badly wanted the Cards to draft him out Michigan.

Mitch, would you, (or anyone on the board), believe that Jared Veldheer might have ANY influence on Stefen Wisneiuski, C, Oakland, who is only 26 years old, but is a free agent right now. He is a very highly rated Center in this FA market. It would sure be nice to have a reasonably priced Center to compete with Sendlein for 2015.

Wisniewski wouldn't be signed to compete with Sendlein, he would be to replace Sendlein.

I didn't list C as a need because BA and HC have praised Sendlein's leadership. That said, if there is a chance to sign Wisniewski, he would be an excellent addition.
