I am pretty sure Grimm is VERY responsible for passing on Adrian Peterson for Levi Brown. He also probably told them who to bring in and who not to bring in along the other line positions as well.

Not sure where all the Housler hate comes from. Maybe because he's been over-hyped, but he hasn't exactly had much of a chance this year. Since the injury he has barely been targeted and yestetday there were at least a couple fo times when he was pretty wide open and wasn't used. Got to give hime more of a chance before getting rid IMO.

The big big big letdown this year is the pass rush (or disappearing pass rush). Hopefully Washington can come straight back in and do what he does best.

If Housler can't produce even what Jim Dray is, I don't care what the reason is:

That is grounds for Housler hate.

To be fair his return has coincided with Carson Palmer's worst games as a Card.

I'm not saying he is Jimmy Graham, but I'm willing to actually give him a chance. People were bashing him in weeks when he wasn't even active.

Housler is a first down machine, 2 catches both first downs, 18 YPC.

Dray has 7.8 YPC and has 8 catches and only 3 first downs. They play different roles.

Obviously 1 catch a game isn't going to cut it for Housler and he followed up a nice catch earlier in the game by not holding on to one on the OPI call(he was out of bounds anyways).

Right now it just looks like Palmer doesn't have confidence in him.

I do wish we'd stop that stupid TE crossing pattern on 3rd and short though. NFL net had them miked up and you can hear Arians explaining to Dray and Housler you can't let the Defender get between you and the QB on that or it's a pick. Why in the hell does he think the play is always short of the first down? If the defender sets up just before the yard marker we need, and the TE has to be between him and the QB, he's always going to be short of the first down unless he breaks the tackle.

Happened again twice Sunday. It's like Palmer is throwing it right at the LB assuming the TE will catch it and then break the tackle, that play is designed to fail IMO.

The problem is that people on and associated with Hardy Drive were directly comparing him to Jimmy Graham, and have been since the day he was drafted. It's a problem of expectations management more than anything.

It's his third year in the NFL, and he hasn't distinguished himself as a quality NFL tight end; don't bother considering whether he's one of the top 15 tight ends in the NFL. How much more rope are you willing to give him?
