Anyone having issues?

http://www.azcardinals.com/news-and...-BALvsAZ/b41a16db-4fe7-4154-a20a-1a67756b20dc

The rule book says no ecigarettes.

I know last year they told me I couldn't have it when i was in the smoking area but they didn't take it or anything like that. I just went about my business.

Let me know if you have had issues especially with pulling it out at the pat down area as My battery alone is $75 and I don't want to have to walk back to my car before I can enter.

They are not allowed in. You can't smoke it in there anyways...so why bring it.

Shoot, I'm down to just carrying in my debit card, ID and keys. I leave the rest in the car.

I've seen enough people having to go back to their cars and then have to go through the security line again...that I make sure I'm not one of them.

It is pretty clear:

Smoking

In accordance with the Smoke-Free Arizona Act, University of Phoenix Stadium is a non-smoking facility. There are three designated smoking locations on the main concourse located beyond the Gate 2 exterior gate and outside the exit doors at Sections 102 and 137. Fans on the Club level, Loft corridor and terrace level can proceed to the designated smoking locations on the north ramp. Please remember to the keep the north ramp walk aisles clear for other fans and smoke only in the designated areas. Fans outside the stadium are reminded that they must be at least 20 feet away from any stadium entrance to smoke. E-cigarettes are not permitted inside University of Phoenix Stadium. Fans that do not comply with the smoking policy inside the stadium are subject to ejection.

have you tried to bring one in? I am more seeking the fan experience with bringing them in. The rulebook I linked to does say the policy is that you cannot however it said that last year and I brought one to two different games.

Not trying to be a jerk, but why even bring it when you can't use it AND you have the likelyhood of being sent back?

The lines for MNF are ALWAYS twice as long as reg. games. No idea why, but they are. Knowing you might have to go back THEN get in line again...doesn't make sense to me.

Everything has it's risks and rewards....it's your call.

Good luck with whatever decision you make

Regardless of other fans' experiences - you would bring it in at your own risk.

They only ask you to remove your cell phone at the security gates this year. You can leave your wallet, keys, vapor whatever in your pocket and likely walk right through the metal detector.

I have heard them spotting some and sending people back to their vehicles already this season and I also saw S.A.F.E. pull someone aside who was seen with one during the game (unsure how that turned out).

Just know that you might be kicked out. It doesn't say they'll take away your device - it says they will eject you though.

Because I have used it at multiple games, because I only use it in smoking sections, because it is silly to allow me to smoke real cigarettes but not let me use a safer alternative. Because I don't want to smoke real cigarettes but I am an addict and will if I do not have my e cigarette.

I don't really need a lesson, just trying to see what the experience has been this year.

I understand it is at my own risk however if it is easy to bring in, I wont have any issues. If you smoke it in your seat I am sure you would have a problem but if I am in a sea of smokers using it, it wont be an issue. Thanks for the heads up as some of that info was helpful, now only if someone can tell me they left it in their pocket and brought it in I will be good to go :)

avid smoker myself, not sure what sense it makes to disallow a e-cig and not regular tobacco cigs. This makes no sense, so its ok to bring in the real cancer sticks but not a vape? I can understand if you smoke the vape in the stadium but cant you just HAVE it in your pocket then use the designated sections to smoke in? Technically you could lite up your regular cigs just like e-cigs inside the stadium.

makes no sense. Reminds me of the part in "tropic thunder" when the ref blows the whistle for a foul when they do an alley-oop

Exactly my issue, if they are worried about indoor use, just give the same rules tobacco has but to outright ban a safer alternative is just backwards thinking.

Just put your e-cigs into an empty Marlboro box. :)

:) not bad!!!

At the Rams game this year they sent the guy in front of me back to the car because he had an e-cig. He wasn't happy about it and complained, the guy stuck to his guns and said there are no e-cigs allowed in the stadium.

Is there some e-cig health issue that i dont know about?

I think the Cardinals just don't want people pulling them out and puffing away anywhere they want in the stadium.

Not really and especially nothing comparing to tobacco.

But you can bring cigarettes in and people don't smoke in the stands. Just make a solid rule, if we see vapor you get kicked out. Problem solved.

Anyway, much ado about nothing. I brought my smaller one and walked right in, could have EASILY brought in my real one as I ended up sneaking a few beers in my cargo shorts as well. No issues. Same ol.

I was going to use Deanna's idea but couldn't find an empty pack so just kept it in my pocket

So, Jenny McCarthy is "pro-vaping" but "anti-vaccine"?

she is so stupid, it hurts.

It probably has more to do with the fact that people could put whatever they want into their e-cigarettes.

I still don't see the point. I can sneak joints into the stadium easier than I can ecigarettes. Have smoked my fair share of join ts in the smoking area.

I can also empty out a cigarette and fill it with weed.

I can wear a fake stomach full of beer.

With the mob
It has nothing to do with health, weed, cancer, etc.

I was told during a briefing last year that the reason there is a ban on e-cigarettes is that an attempt to turn one into a bomb was made 2 seasons ago at a Raven's game.

It's the same everywhere.

Not trying to be a jerk, but just don't bring it in. If employees have given you a pass previously, consider yourself lucky.

If handled by the book, you have two choices: throw it out and be out a bunch of money or leave the stadium and be out a bunch of money.

e cigarettes have also been known just to explode on their own and cause injury. Search it and you can find a good number of stories on people getting hurt by their e-cigs.

Read science.org and found the article interesting. If you need them your just as hooked as on regular cigarettes. They are not allowed inside the stadium. I'm sure you can go 3 hours without. Be well no harm intended.

I just brought a cheap one and would throw it out if necessary. As far as making it a bomb, I could have bombs all up in my cargo pants. I don't think security is effectively stopping bombs if someone wants to bring one in.

Cheap chinese batteries did have those problems in the past, yes. I have been using them for years, never an issue anywhere close to that.

Yes, they are addicting, they have Nicotine. However, they are far less harmful than smoking over a pack a day like I used to. Ill take less destructive to my health but the same addiction for 500, alex.

Can we lock this already?

Kind of embarrassing having a prominent thread about E-cigs on our Cardinal forum.
Why don't we just throw up a condom or tampon poll as well?

Embarrassing? lol.

Why are tampons and condoms anything similar to bringing a smoking device to a stadium? You can always ignore the topic. I do it to 70% of the threads.
