Just a side note. But wasnt it Davis who was flagged for the personal foul after the play, I think the ref called out Ross number on accident.

Damn, only seven words until a thinly-veiled "Pete Kendall" reference.

I wouldn't take one of these suggestions after two games, and I doubt Green will either...

Bench Ross and Brown...and replace them with whom?

Cut Swinton and give the return duties to...whom?

Take away play-calling from Rowan and give them to...Denny? I very much dount that he'd be better at the x's and o's on a micro-level.

It's an absolute riot that not only do you not only call for all of these drastic measures without a thought about what the team might look like after them, but then in the very next breath say "Again, Cardinal fans, I urge you not to blow this loss out of proportion."

Yeah, don't blow it out of proportion. Sheesh.

Quote" Just imagine how they'll do if Dennis Green can make a statement loud enough to snap them out of their daze." Quote

I'm reminded of that scene in Bull Durham where the manager throws a bunch of bats at the players in the shower and screams the obvious at them:

"ITS A SIMPLE GAME....YOU THROW THE BALL, YOU CATCH THE BALL, YOU HIT THE BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yes... it's kind of funny when the guy who (judging from his suggestions) has absolutely lost it, calls on Cards fans to keep their emotions under control.

:stupid:

Would starting Leckey and Wakefield help us win?

I'm not thrilled with Rowen either, but I'm willing to give him more than two games before canning him.

I wouldn't mind ditching Swinton if we could get Moses back, but realistically, that isn't why we are losing.

We are losing because of the OL. I think Green needs to do something to light a fire under this bunch.

"..And in this corner.."

What could DG do to light a fire under the Oline if getting their asses beat on two consecutive weeks and looking worse than a poor college teamOline doesn't in itself doit? There has to be some pride there somewhere-DG is still to blame for the Oline- he pared his team to the point where this is it.. He seemingly overpaid for Ross, though you all are right 2 games do not make a season.. My thing is that Green should act so "we are this close" to the media, keep the challenges and responsibility-laying in house. I hope to God that he is tearing some new a**holes in the lockerroom because the team as a whole played completely uninspired to me on Sunday; did I miss something, or was I watching the wrong Game?
I'm very frustrated because the defense[except the run "D" at times] is playing great, ans special teams coverage was much better. I am dissatisfied with Swinton, but as long as he holds unto the ball, we're good there. :thud:
Sorry to bit** so much, but I still have my front row seat on the Cards express the rest of this year even if we don't turn it around to reach the playoffs!!! :thud:

Pariah - My sentiments exactly.

How so? Because I agree with Ed's analysis and recommendations. And I agree with Pariah that many of those recommendations aren't practical going into the third game of the season.

Then again, the Texans fired their OC after just two games, so maybe there's something to be said for Dennis making "a big move." Specific to the Cardinal OC situation, however, changing OC's (still again) would be counterproductive, because of the inconsistency of new players trying to get comfortable within still another offensive scheme.

One thing you left out, Ed. Bryant Johnson has continually failed to deliver in key situations. Not that Lee is much better, but maybe this is where Dennis "makes his statement." Demote BJ to #4, and give Lee a chance to get the job done as our #3 receiver.

Yeah, but Chris Palmer had been Houston's OC since 2002. I think Rowen deserves more than a two game audition.

I figure the Cards can't do anything this year. They still are not a very good football "team". There are only a handful of quality players on the roster so to win they must have the "system" down pat. I don't think they will get it "pat" until the second half of this year at the earliest. Green and his coaches just aren't that good at that part of the game to get it done any sooner. I look for a long disappointing 2005 season and another outstanding offseason.

By opening day of 2006 the team will be catching on to playing as part of a system and 3 years of improved talent acquistions will finally turn things around.

Until then we can try to keep the refs off the guys backs and mess up as many opposing signal calls as possible.
