Rise from the Ashes III
The Cardinals have never "wanted" to abandon the run or pass exclusively, they have gravitated toward that with continued ineffectiveness of the running game. It's arguable whether the struggles were due primarily to the o-line or if Edge had some part in the matter when you consider what must have gone on behind closed doors as well as how very different and effective he looked after riding the pine for a while.if the Cards don't want to do anything but throw I would want to leave as well.
Edge making it clear that winning is secondary to how much he is featured and his decision to voice those opinions on the eve of a playoff game is exactly why Indy had no problem saying goodbye. I hope he plays angry and doesn't fumble the game away again but I will not be sorry to see him go. If he would have just shut up, played as hard as he could and accepted the 1-2 role that pretty much all NFL teams have now he'd have got another 1,000 yards and been able to leave and probably sucker some other team into giving him a decent contract. Hell, the Cards may have even been able to trade him for something.
