Tight end is a lowkey need for the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Tyler Higbee is set to return, but he's getting older and injury-prone. The unit's depth proved to be underwhelming while Higbee recovered from his knee injury this past season.

The Rams could target tight end as early as the No. 26 pick. There are few solid options who could fall somewhere within the first three rounds, but Bleacher Report predicts one of the best prospects in the draft to fall all the way down to the Rams' first-round pick.

Bleacher Report's scouting department of Brandon Thorn, Dame Parson and Matt Holder picked Penn State's Tyler Warren for the Rams' No. 26 selection, a player some draft experts believe could go in the first 10 picks.

"A legitimate threat at tight end could completely change Sean McVay's offense," B/R wrote. "Tyler Higbee has never become the caliber of tight end the Los Angeles Rams hoped he would be. The 32-year-old veteran is now coming off a season in which he played in only three games because of multiple injuries. Colby Parkinson couldn't muster much, either, with only 30 receptions for 294 yards.

As creative as McVay is, he could have a blast game-planning opportunities for Penn State's Tyler Warren, who can play all over a formation.

Warren is a clear upgrade for the Rams. Quarterback Matthew Stafford already has Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, while Warren will be the ruler between the hashes for the Rams. The tight end serves as an 'easy button' in the passing attack and McVay is the type of innovative, intelligent play-caller to place Warren in the most advantageous positions to create mismatches. The Rams offense will be an even bigger headache to prepare for with this selection."

The 6-foot-6, 249-pounder finished the 2024 season with and impressive 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns.

Pro Football Focus compared Warren to former Indianapolis Colts legend Dallas Clark because "Warren is a do-everything tight end who any coach would love to input into their offense. He isn't a twitchy or flexible athlete who can unlock the whole route tree, but his versatility is incredibly valuable in the run-and-pass games."

This is the type of prospect McVay and the Rams would salivate over. Warren would unlock another element of the offense alongside Adams and Nacua and give the NFC West and the rest of the league nightmares in the middle of the defense.

The Rams have seen what a star tight end can do for a team after facing George Kittle twice a year on the San Francisco 49ers for the past eight seasons. If Warren falls that far, it wouldn't be surprising to see McVay swoop in and snag him.
