You can draw a comparison between Wiz's decision and what you hear military people say about going into battle with a plan but being ready to adjust on the fly (because things seldom turn out 100% the way you think they will).

Despite all the engineer jokes on this board...

I've always thought that Whiz has more of a military mind-set than an engineer's mind-set. Just IMO from personal experience from knowing plenty of both. People miss how down-right cunning Whiz can be. We've been talking about Whiz's "white lies". (Think that was Mitch?) They aren't white lies. They are not disclosing your troop movements and battle plans to the other side.

He definitely thinks "us" vs. the other side.

Intentional? I'm sure he was fired up and spoke his mind, I don't believe it was scripted. Sounds like he cussed up a storm which is definitely out of the mormom norm. This reminds me of the mormom employees I worked with while living in Utah for five years, none of them swore so I got to hear these gems:

"What the freak?"
"What the frick?"
"Freaking A."
"Shizz!" I'm tired of this shizz.
"Judas Priest!"
"Cheese and Rice!" (Versus "Jesus Christ!")
"What the flub?"
"Dang."
And my favorite, "Oh my heck!"

how do you get a mormon to stop spitting and cussing on a fishing trip? invite another mormon.

LOL...reminds me of the joke (told to me by a Mormon) "How do you keep a Mormon from drinking your beer?"

I get the feeling that Max may be a bit more in the mold of Kyle Turley than that of John Tait.

What gets me is, the intention behind the words is exactly the same as a real expletive. So why not just be honest and say what you mean?

for example, no one knows who the hell is playing this week off the injury report.

Come on we all know that saying Son of a Biscuit Eating Dog just isn't the same as uttering the real version but it gets the job done.
