Hearing #Cardinals consider shutting down RB Andre Ellington for the remainder of the season, suffering from a hip pointer & sports hernia.

That would suck but wouldn't be huge surprise. Need a solid complimentary back next year

Yeah he's still very young shut him down. All realistic championship hopes went out the window when Palmer went down. But that's pretty much any team in the NFL.

With a good draft and just our own guys coming back next year it could be special.

He doesn't add anything when he's so banged up. No need to punish him any further. He simply can't handle the load. We'll find a better, every down back in the offseason and move Ellington to the spot where he belongs...a nice, change of pace & 3rd down back who gets roughly 10-15 touches a game... (Combo of rushes and receptions).

He hasn't been making much of an impact the past few weeks anyway. I'd much rather see him get healthy, than throw him out there to be ineffective.

RB is the one position where healthy backups frequently outperform injured starters. Hopefully Taylor/Grice/Williams can step up.

AE DESTROYED HIS BODY TO HELP THE TEAM this season. He should've had surgery to begin the season. I just hope his career is not ruined by this year.

Just curious if four weeks rest + maybe a bye week in the playoffs rest could have him coming back

He doesn't have the type of injuries that would ruin a career.

My guess is Bush wasn't ready, so he was released...and will probably be brought back if/when Ellington goes on IR.

I can only laugh at this point.

If Fitz is out today, we're playing without our starting QB, #1 WR and #1 RB. To go along with the ridiculous amount of injuries/defections/suspensions on D.

If we even win one more game this season, and Arians finishes 10-6, I don't know how the hell he can't win coach of the year, even with the team finishing in a 1-5 tailspin to end the year.

Sucks if it is so, I'm as big of an Ellington guy as there is, but the production was way down. I hope he will be ready to go come playoff time.
