After watching the 2nd half of the Jets game with the Chargers, I came away feeling we're going to have our hands full come Sunday. Favre still throws lasers and I saw alot of quick passes and yards after catch by the Jets. ...And YES, I know the Chargers we're playing "prevent" but still... Anyways, I say this now because I know we're building so MUCH on winning Sunday. Make no mistake. THIS is going to be a TOUGH game. Desperate team, playing at Home, FAVRE.. We better come out ready to match their intensity! (2-2) is obviously NOT what we want but it wouldn't surprise me. ...And I still think (10-6) will WIN the West. GO CARDS!!

This isnt your quintessential trap game, but it surely can be construed as a "must win" for this team

So the Jets played Monday night, on the west coast, to take a trip back home (for them) into a short week where they play our Cardinals on Sunday.

For AZ, this can be helpful, a long trip on a short week will mean the players will be tired on game day.

How do we factor in the butt-whipping they recieved? It can go two ways: 1) Motivation to place the smack down on the next team they play or 2) As a team with a lot of young players it'll take the air out of their sails and they'll come out flat.

Defensively I have to wonder how Kurt will fare against a defense like theirs. We know how things went when he played a Billichek defense a half decade ago. We also know that the coaches will be in his ear about his hanging onto the ball this week. This could be trouble.

How will Calvin Pace react to playing his old team? Will he be able to give the Jets hints as to what the Cardinals will be trying to do defensively? Will familiarity be of any benefit to keeping him in check for the Cardinal offensive line? Will Thomas Jones be eager to play the team that gave up on him (his view)?

This is a game that is a straight-up "who knows". Farve is still learning the playbook, but after a pretty bad game by him, he may dig deeper and they may open it up more.

The post states a trap game for us fans.

NSDF is right. We lose this game and 95% of us will be ready to jump into the Grand Canyon. I'll have to settle for the Sears Tower here in Chicago.

I think it's more likely a trap for the players after watching how Favre and his WR's aren't on the same page they have to be drooling at the prospects of mixing up coverages and getting 3 or 4 picks. The downside is Favre is still a HOF Qb if they can fix their communication issues he's still more than good enough to pick apart a secondary if the pass rush isn't there.

If they play against us like they did last night we should win handily, but you can't assume they'll play that badly.

Basically save the mopup stuff late, Favre looked confused all night constantly pump faking and then throwing underneath.

Leon Washington is their best weapon right now.

we are the cardinals.......

EVERY game is a must win game.

The Jets can be had......just like the skins. We can beat these guys but the defense needs to have a good plan. I dont get too caught up in the "oh they'll be tired" BS.......winners win and losers lose.

3-1 in our first four games (3 on the road) is very good. (2-2 is eh)

I hope so. It's clear that he's not reading the adjustments quick enough.

I'm glad we're playing the Jets at the start of the season vs the end--I think he'll continue to improve.

And, I'm not as worried about how Pace will play his old team as I am about how T. Jones will. I hope the defensive gameplan is to bottle him up and bait Farve into throwing. If that's the case, I'll bet Rolle comes away with a couple of picks. If we look to stop Favre, then I fear TJ will have a very big game.

I found a very large boulder in the desert. Bought some industrial strength rope and tied it around that S.O.B. My buddy and I loaded it in the back of his truck. If the Cards lose, Ill be driving up to Lake Pleasent. You can find my dead carcas at the bottom Monday morning :titanic::hairraise

That has me thinking.. Since we stayed on the eastcoast, does this give us the advantage? Everyone says adjusting to the EST is terrible for teams having to adjust, and the Jets just played on MNF..

Things are starting to look better.. Now if we can just keep cardsfanmd out the game, I'll be convinced we'll win..

The key for this game IMO is the weather. Will it be Windy. I am pretty sure that the New York stadiums have this weird wind pattern. Balls seem to flutter. I hope it is going to be nice because then we will air it out more, but if WHis thinks the wind will alter Warner from passing deep, you might see San Fran game here.

GREAT point, C.C.

That's why I'm glad to be dealing w/the Jets NOW, and NOT in Dec. (ie; WIND; COLD; SNOW) If you look ahead at our schedule it breaks pretty nice weather-wise. ...And I think getting Seattle at HOME will be HUGE!! Kurt has openly admitted he doesn't like playing in those difficult conditions. Not surprising. GO CARDS!!
