Got ya beat. 12 years of NYPD Blue, 7 years of Hill Street Blues and 8 seasons of Barney Miller. Let me know if you ever need any real insight into law enforcement.

Steve

LMAO..Nice Steve! :)

16 years in law enforcement with the LVMPD. 5 years in a patrol capacity in a very low income/project housing areas very similar to what you see in the movie. And still employed as a LEO for the LVMPD.

Just checking. Nice to know you're a brother in blue. I did a little time on the street before getting into corrections. Stay safe.

Because it fantastic just like cops :)

Saw it. Just what I thought. A snooze-fest about the po-po.

Lame.

Anyone not named Shane might not realize I'm bashing this because Shane threw rocks at me during Cardinals camp and almost started a riot. Stupid Shane. Good movie. :mulli: (that's Shane and that's me).

Didn't expect it to end the way it did, surprised me. I don't go to a lot of movies so the shakey camera thing was new to me. Overall I really enjoyed it.

Ended up seeing this again yesterday - was at Alex's sister's house - Bro-in-law had seen it, wanted parents/wife to see it so we watched it again. Even better the second viewing

Haha

I loved it. I felt like I was getting real insight into the daily life of a cop in central LA. Reminded me a little of Colors, although I haven't seen that film in 25 years. Gyllenhaal is turning into a beast of an actor.

Just watched this again the other night...such a great movie. Surprised it didn't do better in theaters and DVD sales. Have family members that are SWAT or in the sheriffs office and were all officers on the street before and was the first movie they had seen they could remember that was "pretty much spot on" in how the job was portrayed. Kinda cool to get a view into what the job is like.

And Shane, sorry to hear that Steve has you beat on the law enforcement knowledge...I definitely know who to go to now for legal questions. :)

I saw it about a month ago and the shaky camera thing people were mentioning here wasn't bad at all. I like how it was setup, were he was filming himself. I love those kinds of movies really. It was a great movie!
