This was a very cool documentary. The parts where Enron traders were laughing about the California wildfires and cheering them on made me sick to my stomach. Anyone that is interested in this subject should check this out. It was very informative and well done.

Yeah, this was one of Mark Cuban's pet projects; releasing it to Landmark Theaters and DVD the same day. I'll have to check it out.

I’m in the accounting industry, so this was very interesting to me. I like making money as much as the next guy, but these Enron traders are just sick. I didn’t know how corrupt the company really was. Firing the least efficient 15% of the staff each year? That is major cutthroat. Shutting down power to half the state to boost their stock price? How do these people live with themselves after finding out how many people died because of this?

Just watched in ONDemand last week, it was great...Its a must see... I was very dismayed to see that our nation's most "respected" financial institution basically helped run the fraud.

I can say with confidence that this type of activity is more the norm than the exception.

Any there are definitley parallels between Enron and what is happening now with our big oil companies.

God I hate these people, Lay should be put to death for all the lives he cost in California...

Cisco does that too. Every year they do reviews and fire the bottom X%, I think it's 10%. They claim that way they constantly are bringing in new talent and encouraging the existing employees to work hard.

I'm told from people who have worked there that the process is not so rigid that managers can't sort of ensure that their favorite employees never wind up in the 10%. But the manager has to be careful that he/she doesn't end up in the bottom 10% themselves while protecting favorites who might not be good workers.

Personally I've never bought the idea, turnover is very counter productive to a company the amount of time it takes to train and get a new employee up to speed doesn't seem worth the constant overhaul.

That is just too cut-throat.

That would only make me work hard enough not to get fired.
