Oh man, this movie was right in my wheelhouse: sci-fi and a love story. Nicholas Hoult is incredibly attractive and Kristen Stewart was actually really good for this role, imo.

Feeling and emotions in this world are viewed as a "sickness" and should be suppressed. But what happens when two people have a connection with each other?

Kind of like Pleasantville in terms of the use of color to show emotions. Visually, this movie was great with the use of cold/sterile environments to represent the world.

Anyway, this was a decent futuristic world love story. Wasn't mind blowing and it dragged at times, but I enjoyed it.

Reminded me a lot of Fringe Season 5 with the theme of advanced intellect/technology and the strippage of what makes us human (love, emotions).
