Anytime,

Your sig?

Hood wasn't our #1 CB going into this year, and Gandy was our best lineman as a LT. I'm curious if you want to elaborate.

I heard McFadden on NFL radio and he said that it came down to the Dolphins and Cardinals and the Cards offered more money.

Eric Green, what a consolation pick!

It's a bit old but here is my take:

1. Hood was our #1 CB for most of last season. By the 8th or 9th game though it was clearly DRC.

2. Gandy IMO is best suited to be a guard. So my thinking was, replace Lutui & Seindlein with better talent. Move Gandy to LG, Wells to Center, Brown to LT. I think Gandy, Wells, and Brown were ok.... They were just moved into positions where they are not as good. I hate it when people plug in players to fill holes rather than keep players in positions where they could do the most good.

Heck.... Wells is a better RT or Center than he is a LG. Gandy might be an NFC all-pro at LG. And Levi might be AWESOME next to Gandy on the left side. I think they could really make our running game much better. With Wells pulling from the center position we could be pretty dominant IMO.

Wells at Center didnt work when they tried it the one time. It only looked like it did because of the crap that played center before him, but as a whole Wells as a Center did not work. He just cannot snap the ball especially snap it in shotgun where Warner lives. That would be a horrible move.

Joe, did they really give him a long enough look at center to know for sure? The shotgun snap isn't that hard to get good at, with good coaching and sufficient reps.

In any event.... My position is that Wells is best suited at RT. If Grimm wants him to Pull.... Then move him to Center. I really believe RG is his 3rd best position on the line. As we draft for depth, this should make the moves easier. Also, now that we are hitching our train to Kurt... Levi needs to be moved back to his more natural position IMO.

Brown - Gandy - XXX - XXX - Wells

Mack or Wood are my obvious choices in the Middle. And I really think Gandy and Levi could make for an overpowering left side of the line.

Plenty of time. He has spent time in three different training camps practicing at center because of injuries, and every time they sign guys off the street because it isnt working, not even for emergency status.

Still trying to figure out why Wells keeps being talked about as a good center considering he has never actually started a game at center. He did it for half of one game in 05. I guess its the usual grass is greener syndrome.

4 different OL coaches and 3 different HC's all havent figured out that Wells would be a good center yet? 1 coach OK, 2 coaches maybe, but 3 different ones all think he is a gaurd and a gaurd only.

So you want our worst pass blocker blocking for Warners blindside, and move our best pass blocker to LG? If Brown is going to give up 10+ sacks on the right side I would hate to find out what he would do on the left side. Until we become a smash mouth football team that OL would be considerably worse IMO. But with Warner here we will not be a smash mouth football team for at minimum for another year.

Once we draft LeSean McCoy we can run much more... :D
