He is our nickel back. The commentators are saying he is FAST and could play saftey (not that I think we will move him there).

He is a good value pick.

He was BPA according to Kiper's board, and every analysis had him as a second rounder.

This is the best pick of the day IMO. If you look at value compared to where he was taken. He'll be our best special teams player next year.

He's no steal like Darnell Dockett. We'll have to wait and see if we have another Renaldo Hill or another Michael Stone.

I don't think either comparison is very good. He's a much, much better athlete than Hill. And, he made a lot more plays in college than Stone.

Works out perfect with our needs. Plus if we hadnt taken Arrington, San Fran or Houston likely would have over Gore and Morency. I dont think we could have done any better than we did today.

According to all the ramkings I have he sure is a steal as the 75th pick in the draft.
We are going to be a very fast and versatile defense.

He is a 3 year starter in a very good program with good DB's taht have come out of there. That is what I like the most. He also had one of the better cone and shuttle times at the combine.

Speed kills, this guy looks like a great pick as well. I wish the ESPN buffoons wouldn't cut to commercial every time we pick, though.

We now have our secondary, and it's not too shabby!

Eric Green is an awesome value at #75...a player that many projected to go late 1st to early 2nd...in fact, I bet his name came up when DG was deciding on the #44 pick.

Green thrives in man coverage, which is what we want in the nickel. And, the way special teams are emphasized at Virginia Tech...he should be a major contributor as a gunner and kick blocker.

I agree now that Arrington never would have made it to the 3rd round. It was a good pick, although I saw some mocks taking Arrington in the 3rd. Glad to take a running back when we did.

A lot of draft had us picking him at #44 as well. I think Brown would have been a great choice, but if they are able to get Brown, Hawthorn, or Kemoeatu we will be looking nice.

Pahokee, Florida is Anquan's hometown. Is there something in the water down there? Green played against Q in high school. He also said that he is friends with Antrel Rolle.

Not that it matters much but Green is an excellent soundbite. That makes my job easier!

Does anyone else realize just how screwed Renaldo Hill is now? Low contract with lots of incentives, Charles Woodson on the roster, and now TWO high CBs drafted in tandem? Dummy should have stayed in AZ, for more money. Oh well. If you can't be smart, you gotta be tough.

Yeah, I thought about that earlier. After I saw Oakland take that second corner I chuckled at Hill's bad decision.

Dont forget he has to battle it out with Nnamdi Asomugha as well, and maybe even Denard Walker.

Yeah and DG made it sound like he may push Macklin to the nickel, though I'm sure that having our top two corners being rookies would be fun for our defense.
