anyone here that wants to trade marion, and bell you are a bunch of idiots. They are a big part of the suns success most def marion.

I saw someone in here proposing a trade for half of memphis starters/ R u serious? thr is a reason they are slated to selct the first pick of the draft.

We dnt need to trade anyone, we just need to play better. If we get the pick from atlanta- I think Al horford if avaliable should be the suns' pick.

Ouch, it only took 22 posts before calling people idiots. I don't have a lot of posts myself, but i'm pretty sure they don't like that.

That trade included Memphis' lottery pick.

And I would trade Marion straight up for Durant

And I would also trade Marion and Diaw for Mike Miller and Durant. Hell I'd even throw in Atlanta's pick.

Trust me, if you had followed Marion's disappearing act in the playoffs every year, you'd feel the same way.

are you so sure about that? I agree to trade diaw but Diaw is still raw IMO- his work ethic and lack of assertiveness is whats holding him bck. Mike miller may be a great shooter but we have enuff of those.

U know this is exactly why fans do not make great GMs. its true durant is a special player but can he consistly defend the best player on the other team? he doesnt even do that for texas.

U prolly were one of the few that thought Jason kidd for marbury was a good deal. I should be thankful really he helped us suck and get draft amare.

U prolly wanted to draft maggette instead of marion. So how are the clippers doing this season? or better yet how have they been since he got into the league?

by the way Ive been following the suns since marion got into the league and no one has been able to do what he has been able to do. How many 6-7 228 lbs baller can give u 10 rebounds , 16 points, and 2 steals, 1.5 blocks night in and night out?

Shawn Marion's defense is very good, yes.

However his offensive output is a reflection on the team. If the offense is working and the team is scoring well, then of course Marion will get his 20+ points.

However when the offense isn't working, Marion is a non-factor. I'd love to know how many times Marion has scored 25 or more in a losing effort since Steve Nash came back to Phoenix. I'm guessing you could count them on one hand. That is why come April/May, when the game is slowed down, this board will be filled with people calling for his head. cheesebeef will be leading the charge, and I will will be right behind him.

I love Shawn, but you have to face facts:

He is a glorified role player that can not carry a team and should only be making half the money he is now.

And FYI, I support the team, not individual players. I just can't change my username, that's all.

glorified? its true shawn productivity is a product of the offense. so is Raja, Amare, everyone in the suns.

they have a motion offense. lack of motion lack of offense. Shawn may not be a slasher on offense but getting double doubles is his speciality. He defends the best player on the opposing team.

when the suns play the grizzlies does Mike Miller guard Nash?

"Trust me, if you had followed Marion's disappearing act in the playoffs every year, you'd feel the same way."

His averages through the playoffs in 2006: 20.4 ppg, 11.7 rbs. Not bad for an invisible guy.

On further inspection, you're right. He did have a decent series against Dallas last year. I guess I'm still remembering the year before against the Spurs.

I still stand by my comments about trading him for Kevin Durant.

And Mike Miller would fit perfectly in this syestem.

Nash
Barbosa
Miller
Durant
Stoudemire

I know it would never happen. But if those 5 players took the court together next year in Phoenix colours, it would be even more exciting than this season.

I realise that, but the two teams he's had trouble with in the past two years (at least to me) have been San Antonio and Dallas. As it so happens, two of the best four teams in the league, aswell as the two teams we will have to beat just to get to the Finals.

I don't want to keep going back and forth here, but nothing you say will change my opinion on Marion. I don't believe he is paramount to the Suns' success.

I would never attempt to change your opinion, it doesn't concern me in the slightest. I was pointing out that your comment about "Marion's disappearing act in the playoffs every year" was not only inaccurate but totally untrue. And by the way, your last post contradicts your previous post. Carry on..........

U should stop hating shawn. U know why shawn "disappears" againts dallas and Spurs? Well they scout him. they know he is the only guy that goes after rebounds. Dallas last yr just made sure someone boxes out on marion, San Antonio the yr before box him out too- why do u think amare was able 2 get 15 rebounds a game vs the spurs.

Do u think the 76ers won againts us If shawn played? Shawn defense is not a shut down defense its hustle defense.

if the suns play hustle defense like tonite- they would be very dangerous to San antonio and Dallas.

When Marion wins DPoY, his own mind will expload as his head will swell like a puffer fish. I have never heard anyone claim an individual prize like he did. Please give it to the cartoon kid...apparently his ego is starving.
