OK! I'll give 'em a few "props" as some of the Cardinal-stuff has been good. BUT today, they did a little segment comparing the Cardinals & Steelers. They called it the TOP (5) moments in each teams history.

For the Steelers they showed (5) clips of various hi-lites from their Super Bowl wins.

NOW, for the Cardinals... (SAFTEY NOTE): PLEASE DO NOT read this with any loved ones standing close by ...or holding ANY dangerous objects in your hand)

Ok! Ready?

#5/ Bill Grammatica injuring his knee during a FG celebration.

#4/Emmit Smith gains 1,000 or so yards in his (2) yrs. in Arizona.

#3/Matt Leinart falls into our lap with the 10th pick in the Draft

#2/Denny Green's famous "rant"

...And (drum-roll) #1-Whiz' gets a gatorade bath after winning the NFC Championsip.

One of the guys quipped "(1) out of (5). That's not too good."

What disturbs me is that some sick. twisted indivual(s) ACTUALLY think this is funny!

If the Cards win the super bowl you just know those AHOLES will do an entire show on how the quality of play in the NFL has fallen and what needs to be done to return the NFL to the greatness of the old days.

Don't pay any attention to the nay sayers, we will do our speaking on the field of play where it matters most. The drive-by sports media can take a hike.

ESPN continues to loose creditability West of the Mississippi. To be honest, I haven't watched SportsCenter regularly in years. And don't even get me started on that clown Chris Berman.

Chris Berman is a well known jackass..

There are still people out there who think he should be taken seriously?

As much as these comments bug me, I can't blame ESPN and their analysts for taking these shots. We are like TO and Randy Moss in many respects because we keep giving them reasons to take shots at us and, therefore, can't fault them for doing exactly that.

Face it, we all have watched over the past years and thought "what the hell are they doing" more than once. We, as an organization, have put ourselves in this hole and all we can do is work our way out of it. Winning the Super Bowl this week will be step 1, in the Cardinals takeover of the NFL.

Pathetic. No mention of beating the Cowboys in the playoffs?

Keep winning, Cardinals. Make this stupid media reporting go away.

I have a story....

There is this kid in highschool. He was fat, stinky, ugly, and none to smart. He was made fun of by everyone, and he kind of brought it upon himself.

One day he woke up. He started working out, he improved his hygene, got a make over, and started hitting the books.

The same kid came back to his home town, worked hard and became mayor. At the town celebration 2 years later, the mayor was honored for having the best town in the state.

Many of his class mates were there. They remembered him from their past. Many saw that he had changed and showed him the respect that he had earned. Even though they didn't know him as well as they did in school, his accomplishments deserved a little bit of respect.

Yet, a few of the "popular kids" (all grown up now) were there and could be heard hooting and holler about the past. About what USED to have been. Yet, the joke was on those "popular kids" of the past. People looked at them and where amazed buy those people's lack of class, respect, and disgusted by their behavior.

Story time is over.

ESPN sucks. Haven't watched it in years, and they are just angry that the NFLN has SHREDDED their reputation. They must be even angrier that the Cardinals have made them look like classless, un-respectful fools by dissproving a lot of rumors that ESPN tried to pass as fact throughout the season.

ESPN does for sports, what MTV does for music.

I look at this completely differently.

1. From the players standpoint, this is just more disrespect. And the disrespect card has carried this team through the playoffs. I WANT to hear this stuff. It just pisses the team off. More fodder for the Whis PreGame speech.

2. From my standpoint, to be very honest, this is the first time we've ever done anything. Dont' take it so seriously. If you don't take it too seriously, it kind of funny. Come on, face it, the Denny Green thing is now funny. It wasn't at the time, but it is now. Because times have changed. It's great to watch Berman say "the Arizona Cardinals, let me say that again, the Arizona Cardinals, are going to the Super Bowl". And to Watch the Fox guys and Terrell Davis stutter and stammer, not knowing what to say. So ESPN falls back and ridicules. And I cannot wait to hear them stammer some more when we punch the Steelers in the teeth.

On a side note, Rod Woodson is awesome. He has been in our corner for years. TD was going off on us today, and Woodson just shaking his head. He is a believer, and despite his Steelers roots, he is impressed.

We are going to win, boys and girls, men and women. We are going to win.

Well its tough to be very positive on a team that last won a championship in 1947. Winning the Super Bowl will start to change everything. ESPN was just having some fun. No big deal.

I disagree ... if the Cards win the SB it will be the feel good story of the year and will get big play on ESPN. Face it, the media doesn't care about getting things right anymore. They only care about coming up with a storyline.

But it wasn't funny. Media are supposed to be fair and unbiased. Yeah, I know that never happens anymore, but it doesn't make it right.
