The ESPN coverage of all things NBA is ridiculous - especially in the offseason.

Consider this:

They have a year-round show, NFL LIVE, that they air MONDAY thru FRIDAY even during the offseason.

All they discuss is Packman, Vick, and do stupid poles like "Do u think Cards will win?"

Why don't they have an NBA LIVE show at least once per week during the offseason?

Um...football is only successful in America because Americans only want all things big, monsterous, and bulky with contact and violence.

Basketball is a worldwide sport, much like futbol, and therefore I argue is the more important sport.

World > America. It's not the other way around.

Come on. Give me a break. ESPN needs AT LEAST one day per week dedicated to an NBA show. Or at least have your cute little NFL sideline reporters at NBA training camps and summer camps doing offseason reports rather than having them stationed outside some NFL arena reporting about Packman Jones or when Brady Quinn will sign a contract.

So ridiculous.

Moaning about how americans like football is pointless.

Basketballs popularity is minute vs football, that is why you do not see these shows.

Like it or not, Vick, Brady, etc..... news is far more in demand then seeing 52 articles about how KG just moved to boston.

PS: All the viewers in the WORLD as you mention for Bball, probly still does not touch the NFL in one week. I love the suns but the rest of the NBA is a snore fest.

No matter what, this isn't about hate. If they thought they could get ratings on a weekly NBA show during the offseason, they'd do it.

Get over it. ESPN is an American sports network so they'll will broadcast what is most popular in the US. Even NBATV has few new basketball shows on during the offseason.

Using the "basketball is a world sport" argument is the most silly argument I can think of.

Comparing it to soccer does your argument no justice either.

Saying ESPN is wrong for not talking about "world sports" every day is simply wrong.

And as far as ESPN is concerned:
America > World

If I'm not mistaken ESPN coverage varies from region to region, so in America, with football being the most popular sport by far, it makes sense to give so much coverage. I personally don't get it, but I understand it.
