Once again ESPN spent a few minutes on the Cards and they project them to go 9-7 and contend for the west title. Much of their projections hinge around what they think is a great coaching staff. Sean Salisbury once again led the charge and the others seemed to agree. They talked about who we should draft and I tuned in just after they covered that. They did mention Jamal Anderson as someone who could help. Also said our head coach will want a strong running game. I think I heard them say that the Guard many of us would take from Wisconsin might not be the best choice for us. I got this gut feeling that he may drop out of the top five as we near the draft. His agent of course is pumping him and perhaps some teams are also hoping he will be taken early and the guy they really want will be there. My top two picks at this time is the Oklahoma running back and Jamal Anderson in that order. If Whiz is going to make us a strong running team I could see him taking a RB at #5 vs an OG.

Anyway we are making the news these days on a regular basis and that is a change in itself and good. Hope the FA's watch these programs.

They also talked about the Brownies, and apparently, Cleveland will take Joe Thomas if Detriot somehow passes on him. It seems there is no way he falls to Arizona. If Thomas is gone, they feel the Brownies take either AP or one of the quarterbacks. They also hinted that if Crennel and Savage don't produce this year, there will be a housecleaning in Cleveland with the possibility of bringing in Bill Cowher in next year.

There is no way Cowher will go to Cleveland.

I feel J.Anderson is our guy. But it seems there are several guys that would be a good pick...

I have ASFN up on my computer all day at work but rarely ever post. Being in St. Louis I don't get any coverage except from you guys. Skkorp does a great job.

I saw the same show ... they really had lots of positive things to say about us ... one thing they all agreed on was that we had a good coaching staff now and that would make a difference ..

He came from Cleveland when he was hired as Steelers' HC
He was actually the Defensive Coordinator for Kansas City for the three years immediately preceding his his hiring as the Steelers' HC.

One thing they all agreed on it that our main weakness and main concern is our Oline ... if we can fix the Oline then we will be going places ...

It has been witten somehere that Bill Cowher would to end his career in cleveland. He was a play for them , and he was a special teams coach in the 80's..Cleveland and Pittsburgh hate each other already..i can't wait to see what would happen if he ever became coach of the Browns.
