I feel the need to demonstrate that I have too much time on my hands.

Heading into Week 11, Cris Carter has the best overall record and is perfect in picking Cardinals games. There are three in the list that have picked the games correctly 8 out of 9 times. Curiously, two of those (Merrill Hoge and Mike Ditka) are 8-1 in Cardinals picks because they picked the Cardinals every game. All four of the 8-1 or better pickers have the Cardinals beating Detroit.

Four of the "experts" (Golic, Joyner, Schefter and Johnson) have missed twice. In all four cases, they missed the San Francisco (I assume because they saw us putting in a backup quarterback against a good team). Three of the four (all but Golic) have Detroit winning this week.

A 3-2 majority of the remainder have picked Detroit Sunday, and the full slate is evenly split 7-7. Perhaps we have a little respect out there.

The Cardinals are one team you DO NOT want to play if you're an opposing player and in a contract year... no matter how good the Cardinals are, it will be pegged as you just playing bad and losing the game despite the guys in red uniforms lol

I hear you JG , I believe we are going to win this game , and when we do , it's going to be all about how the Lions just can't make that many mistakes and win , as opposed to WE UNDER ESTIMATED HOW GOOD THE CARDINALS ARE !!!!

isn't ESPN and "expert" an oxymoron?

Yes. Mel Kiper just stated on his radio show this morning that Green Bay was the best team in the NFC, even if Palmer was still playing. He also said the Cardinals won't win more than 2 games the rest of the year. I know the second half schedule is brutal but to say at best we would finish 2-5 the rest of the way is ridiculous

Like fuel to a fire, every time an NFL pundit disses our Cardinals it feeds them more energy.

I'm actually starting to enjoy the lack of respect and look forward to it every week. Keep it up! Go ahead and keep proclaiming what we can't do *******!

And then tune in Sunday and have some more crow.

Thanks,
MadJack.

Ouch, I guess Kiper should just stick to praising overhyped draftees like Dion Jordan and Tavon Austin.

I think GB has looked incredible on offense. Rodgers has had several games where he has blown the doors off the other team and been done at halftime. Nelson and Cobb have likely become the NFL's best WR duo. That being said, the GB defense is horrible. I would think the Cards match up really well against them. Maybe we see them in the playoffs.

Well, if they actually did their job and watched the Cardinals games they would know that Stanton isn't your average backup qb and that BA is a fantastic coach. Instead they just check the stats and maybe watch some plays and proceed to talk like they know anything.

Anyone notice who the lions have played? Who they beat and who beat them?

I would rather not see GB in the playoffs....just saying!

i'm with ya. they're the one team that scares the crap out of me in the NFC at this point. Rodgers and that offense are ridiculous.

everyone else, if we play that at home, I'm relatively confident we can continue to eek out wins. But that offense might be too much for our D to contain. And that's not a slight against our D. I think that offense might be too much for ANYONE to contain, unless you can score some points as well.

Our defense would take Rodgers and spank him with his little belt until he wished he was back in the green room trying not to cry.

To win the title this year we'll have to spend our last two games beating Green Bay and New England. So be it. Come to our house and learn what everyone else has learned.

I watched Strahan when he said this and thought to myself... football is the one sport where, other than maybe QB, you don't need marquee players. It truly is a TEAM sport.

Go Cards!!!

He didn't actually say that. The question was about whether we are legit or not. And he said YES.

He said the problem FOR FANS is that when they see our record or consider us there's nobody you can point to, no Marque QB or star player that draws tickets. And that's true. We have a bunch of bench dudes, lost most of our defense, and that's true.

Sure you talk Cambell and PP but still we have nobody on our team going to the pro bowl, not one player. There is virtually nobody on our team worthy of a bro bowl. Lol. That's just a fact.

That's what makes us so awesome IMO. So incredibly awesome. It reminds me of the old days when coaching mattered a lot more than players.

We're an old school team, make no mistake. We may win on defense or punt returns or blocked FG. We may win on a smokey brown TD. But nobody knows, because it's old school coaching. It's a team concept.

I'm naive enough to think thats rare nowadays. I have seen our players rush BA after a win now, game after game. Last game it was Johnson but last game when BA hugged PP he looked like he was ready to cry man. Ready to cry.

That's rare.

I'll say this
before our game vs Lions, no one talked about them (Lions) either though they were 2nd best record in NFC and they beat GB
but when they started talking about our game, all praise went to Lions, their D #1, Megatron, Stafford, Suh.

We are Larry Fitzgerald team and everyone sees his numbers are down so even he is not one of the big league stars anymore.

Different result this week. Cris Carter (perfect in picking our games) is picking Seattle. Ditka and Hoge have gone with Arizona for the 11th time this year. America is going with Seattle which means the four who have picked 9 or better are split. The two who have picked 8 correctly (Tom Jackson, who I always thought was totally anti-Cardinals, and Mike Golic) both picked Arizona.

FWIW: weather looks to be absolutely miserable Sunday

rain + 20 mph winds

two good defenses+ two offenses that have been hit or miss + bad weather = low scoring game

This is a must win game for Seattle. Seattle is still a good team at home and last seasons team means squat this year. Hawks should win this just like the Cards should win the game here against them.

We probably only have 1 Pro-Bowl level player right now: LT Jared Veldeer.

It's amazing to me how under the radar he is on this forum especially. The dude has been nails, absolute nails. He had a few holding penalties in one game, and I remember saying that at least he didn't allow our QB to get killed. He'll do whatever it takes to protect our QB. Can't ask or expect anything more.
