with this slew of random subjective ratings floating around, I decided to look at the Sagarin ratings. somehow, i don't feel we deserve to be no.1 in the rankings. We don't have any quality wins.

This is what the Sag ratings say:
RATING | W |L |SCHEDL(RANK)| VS top 10 | VS top 16
3 | Phoenix Suns = 95.36 |14 | 6 | 90.25( 16)| 1 5 | 6 6
observe that we're 1-5 against the top 10. Our SOS has gone down from being one of the toughest during the 1-5 run to no.16 now.

with that party-pooper post, I have reached 900 posts now! (in 8 months -- confirming that I need to get a life).

I feel VERY comfortable about this year's lineup. Suns have not been on TNT or ESPN much so I didn't get to watch the newly "improved" Suns after such horrible start.

I saw Amare's highlights and he looked pretty good. Not sure about his defense or shooting.

Diaw's #s look a whole lot better now. Pretty 3D to me. Some rebounds, assists and scoring. His playing time has dropped but that's understandable.

Ra Ra and Barbosa are playing solid and I think even Kurt Thomas is shooting relatively well.

We now have good size to combat. Keep it up. I do feel we'll end up taking the Pacific division.
