UGH! What did they do to this great wrap-up show? Not only do they move a Sunday night tradition, but they replace Berman and TJ with the three biggest idiots on the Network with Jaws, DITKA AND STUART FREAKING SCOTT?

That sucks. They've ruined the best way to end the weekend - falling asleep to football highlights! Damn ESPN!

As I recall, contractually, ESPN was forced to cut down Primetime in order to accomodate both NBC and the NFL network. It was not ESPN's choice.

if true, that sucks - and is really weak - even when ESPN and TNT used to split the Sunday night games, Primetime was ALWAYS there. But even that being said, this monstrosity of "Primetime" is pathetic - they aren't even telling the story of the game like it used to. I hope NBC's pre-game is better - very sad for me. I loved Primetime.

That Sucks! I used to love Primetime. It was the perfect way to get all the important highlights from every game.

late last night i watched the wrap up show on the nfl network...sanders, eisen and coach mariucci were on....i thoroughly enjoyed them...sanders was really excellent and very well prepared.....while i am on the subject is there or was there anything worse than seeing four or five guys in suits on a little piece of football field in a studio trying to explain something...to me that was the dumbest thing on tv...i don't remember who was involved...johnson, bradshaw and long??? awful

Yes, it's true, and yes, it sucks. My personal opinion is that if NBC's show can't compete with the ESPN version, then it should fail on its own merits. To delineate a period when the sports network cannot carry a highlight show cheats not only ESPN, but also the viewing public who cannot fathom the popularity of Cris Collinsworth (though I'm sure happy with the choice of Bob Costas).

Well I'm bummed.

That was my favorite show after football -- with all the great highlights and two great guys to show it. HBO Inside the NFL used to be almost as good -- but then they got into hype and don't show all the games any more.

Ditto. I caught GameDay on NFL Network but wasn't that thrilled with it.

I thought I heard ESPN's focus was going to be the Sunday pre-game. While the post game stuff was left to NFL and NBC.

The NBC coverage cracks me up it is like the Masterpiece Theatre of sports or something.

Fox took a step back after losing James Brown.

Terry Bradshaw looks lost without him...

True. It's problem is that it is WAAAYYYY too long. To fill time, they have to put in crap like TO's postgame interview.

I watched "The Blitz" Sportscenter show, which is like including Primetime into that show. Yes, you have to get through other highlights inbetween the football ones, but that was the best one I thought. I usually watch Sportscenter at 11 anyhow.

NFL Network is pretty good at that too but I agree Primetime was better

Between losing that and Arizona Sports Reports, it sucks. I was pissed Sunday.

I actually really liked NBC's pregame show. I hate Berman, but TJ's okay. I like Costas, Collinsworth, and the rest of the NBC Sunday crew. All the good scores and highlights, none of the annoying self-rightousness.

Also, I don't know what the problem was, but the game breaks all day were sorely lacking. Oh, and FOX losing Jim Brown probably has sealed CBS as my favorite NFL network.

Funny, I find Collinsworth completely annoying and can't watch him.

Why do you find him annoying? I used to like Berman, but he became odiously self-rightous and condescending after 9/11, and his schitck became really, really old with me. I kind of prefer having Stu Scott around.

They seem to have a good mix at the NBC desk, with Collinsworth, Costas, Jerome Bettis, and some other guy. They do a much better job of showing highlights than any of the other network shows seemed to do.

All I know for sure is that the FOX pregame show is horrible now that JB's gone, and I'll be sticking to ESPN's pregame (the best in the biz for the NFL fan) or CBS's coverage.
