Aeneas Williams honorable mention? Really? C'mon.

I love how they pick Jake cause he went to ASU and he took us to the playoffs. Um, Kurt is taking us to the SUPER BOWL!

They clearly state, though, that it isn't all about football. So why even make this list? Hell, we could all make a list.

I wish I would get paid to shoot MY mouth off. :)

Jake isn't in the top 10. When everyone told Warner he couldn't do it, he kept trying. When Shanahan told Jake he couldn't do it, Jake quit. I like Jake, but he was far from the Cards best player.

azsouthendzone's top 10

1. Aeneas Williams
2. Larry Fitzgerald
3. Kurt Warner
4. Anquan Boldin
5. Adrian Wilson
6. Larry Centers
7. Ronald McKinnon
8. Eric Hill
9. Luis Sharpe
10. Ron Wolfley

Any list without this guy is bogus. He brought the Cardinals their last Championship before 2009.

IMO, Jake sucked.

No Eric Swann ?

Aneas Williams Honorable mention.

No Anquan Boldin ?

No Adrian Wilson ?

1. Larry Fitzgerald
2. Anquan Boldin
3. Aneas Williams
4. Larry Centers
5. Eric Swann

Honorable Mention: Adrian Wilson
Honorable Mention: Jake Plummer....ugh, my personal hate for the guy shouldn't shadow out the numbers and the talent. Just though the guy was more trouble than he was worth, also that most of the comebacks he had were because he put the team in a bad position to begin with.

boston

was a man among boys out there. unfortunately he lost his mind, but fortunately the team new he did and let him walk at the perfect time.

I almost quit the cards when they let boston walk, and have to say that him imploding quickly after being off the team made my decision to stick with them much easier.

hell i cant even remember his first name anymore..

sheet - david...whew thought the booze finally caught up with me

So, are you putting David Boston on the list or off?

I gotta say that it was a sad year when we lost him and Plummer. (That was the same year, right?)

Who woulda thought?

You have got to be kidding me. Boston was one of the biggest wasted talents ever in the hostory of the NFL. He makes lists like Richard Dumas with the Suns. He is lucky he isn't dead. Boston's name should be nowhere near a best of list. To mention him with these names is almost offensive. David can wait in line, long after players like JJ McCleskey and Gary Clark.

My Top 10 would be:

1A)Aeneas Williams
1B)Larry Wilson
3)Kurt Warner
4)Larry Fitzgerald (very likely to be #1 when he retires as a Cardinal)
5)Anquan Boldin
6)Adrian Wilson
7)Neil Lomax
8)Ottis Anderson
9)LarryCenters
10)Freddie Joe Nunn

I agree he probably should be, but I'd have no idea where to put him either.

Don't get me started on Richard Dumas...

Wait a second, that writer says Larry Centers is the Cardinals all-time leaderin receiving yards. Is this an error? According to the stats I looked at, Centers had 4,539 receiving yards with AZ, and both Fitzgerald and Boldin have far more than that.

*edited: Nevermind I guess he meant receptions, not yards. Still, Centers had just 33 more catches than Boldin and played far more years. I can't believe he left Boldin out to make room for Rob Moore!

I don't think I have ever had so much love in my heart for a Bucs fan before. :)

I think he is looking at what the player meant to the team at the time. Still, it is debatable. It is so subjective.

Roy Green has the most in franchise history with 8496 yards.
Larry Centers has the most receptions with 535 tho.
Fitzgerald has 426 for 5975. Boldin has 502 for 6496.

EDIT: Yeah, he meant receptions.;)

Hey Jersey Girl, I've followed the Cardinals ever since they drafted one of my favorite FSU players Anquan Boldin. I've had Super Bowl tickets for months now and when my Bucs got eliminated my rooting interest quickly turned to the Cards. I love Fitz too, an incredible athlete and seems like a truly nice person. And of course Kurt Warner is about as wonderful a human being as there is in the entire league. I'll be cheering loud for the Cards.

Well, Bucs fan, I am not typically a fan of Florida players (regardless of their school), but you gotta love Q. And I DO love him!

Am glad that you are on board with the Red Birds. :) I gotta tell ya that I love Gruden, but I don't know what the fans think.

If you pick up any extra swag and wanna be a good sharer, let me know. :)

:biglaugh:

I'll never forget him being so happy in Texas the day before Tobin got fired and McGinnis was named coach. We got our asses handed to us that day. Hated that he walked off the field with a smile on his face.

LMFAO..... Partay with Martay got cut by the Rattlers after he left for greener pastures. I liked the guy but he is a perfect example of why the Cards were a 3 win team. He was XFL at best and maybe not that. I wouldn't have liked him on my Las Vegas Outlaws.

Was ready for plummer to go. Past his prime. Boston was at his peak - thats what made it hard.

Boston is higher than plummer just cause I wasn't embarrased for him at the end of his cardinal career.

Plus james he could be replaced on that list. Swann was past his prime but just injured...I would lean towards swann.

sorry bout the BIMs - my right mouse button is broke - currently ; spelling wasn't my best subject..;)
