If he's coming with Shurmur I have no issue with that. He's done a bang up job with Keenum.

Not any of the other potential QBs we draft tho?
Jackson may be the only one of the Big 4 (Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield, him) to drop to #15. AZ radio guys don't like Jackson, feel he is too much of a project to take in first 2 rounds but you put talent around him and I think he would develop just fine. Question is how short of a contract would Keenum accept? He won't sign here to be an eventual backup. Actually, thinking about it, I don't think Taylor would sign here do be a stop gap either. So if ARZ signs a QB, then maybe taking an OT like McGlinchey if he's there makes more sense and maybe draft a Rudolph in second round to be a back up.

After watching Taylor I can say I don't want him here.

McGlinchey is severly overrated. I don’t want to go OL 1st round(AGAIN), but if we do, just let it not be McGlinchey. I’d much rather have Connor Williams.

His main threat is his rushing ability though, that never translates in the NFL at the position. Except maybe cam newton to an extent but look how big he is

Connor Williams had knee injury that cost him most of the season, skeptical about knee injuries with OL after Humphries. Good thing ARZ has so many needs that they can take a BPA WR or CB and still fill a need.

You and I are on the Mayfield / Jackson train, hopefully if ARZ doesn't sign a starting FA QB then they take one of those 2 if they are there.

That was a typical Taylor performance. You can blame it on his supporting cast or not. He would be coming here to a worse O line and wrs just as bad. What you see is what you get.

Heard a weird story about Cam Newton from a guy (Radio host Fox Sports )who played with him and was in the huddle with him for a few years. Seems Cam cannot make the complicated Qb calls in the huddle and Greg Olsen has to do it. That is one of the reasons Cam made the demand that they let him run the ball himself more. Hah.

Have you heard Cam talk? Can't say I'm surprised.

in that case you've heard lamar jackson talk, right?
lots of players are not so well spoken when they get in the league. Lamar Jackson speaks fine.
He also happens to be a pretty humble kid which is pretty rare in a quarterback... he and Darnold are probably the only two in the draft.
Jackson has had some rough licks so far in life.....I am pretty certain if he fails at the next level it wont be due to a lack of effort.
I cant really speak to his smarts... but Dan Marino is a hall of fame QB... so Jackson should be fine.

I have this sinking feeling that if this happens the Cards will not concentrate on getting a QB in the draft but more a backup for Keenum. Yikes.
Or maybe a 2nd rounder like Finley. Use the 1st on OLine or CB.

If Keim beings in Keenum and drafts Jackson, he should be fired before he can contaminate day 2 of the draft.

Is there anywhere that is going to give Keenum a guaranteed starting gig with no draft pick at QB? I can't think of one. His best shot would be to follow Shurmur or stay in Minnesota.

If Keenum came here, there isn't exactly a guarantee we are going to take a QB at 15. Where we're picking, that could be as bad as the 5th or 6th QB taken.
