Well, early on with Keim the team was actually successful. The BA years with Carson Palmer had more regular season win than the Kurt Warner years even.(although worse playoffs). Should Keim had been fired then?

The big mistake was giving Kliff and Keim an extension after the 11-5 year when the team imploded at the end of the season. A year later after a terrible season it seems Michael realized the mistake and fired him.
Should have been fired for behavior after his second extreme DUI.

In many ways he is just like his father it seems. However, I'm not sure his Dad would have quickly fired a GM and HC merely a year after paying them an extension.

One major difference in my opinion is that Michael actually wants the Cardinals to have a winning team but his leadership ability is at times extremely counterproductive to achieving that.

Bill had terrible leadeship and also didn't care that the team sucked every year.

I think that Bill Bidwill was indifferent to winning and empowered his people to do whatever they thought they needed to do. As long as the management of the football side stayed within budget and didn't create an embarrassment, he was happy to go along and let people do their work.

Michael wants to be extremely involved in the football operation and (apparently) the day-to-day running of the franchise. Maybe this is how he keeps his siblings at bay. Michael's film breakdowns with the coaching staff are unusual for legacy owners but becoming common with failsons and new money ownership. Frank Reich recently mentioned such sessions with the Panthers' owner.

Now this is real aggregator stuff where you shift the focus to the most scandalous-seeming headline and post it for clicks. I don't think Michael is more racist than any other early Gen Xer/ rich white dude.

Prosecutors thrive on fear and intimidation to drive the results they need (often keeping things out of a courtroom). It sounds like he runs his business like a prosecutor. I've worked for someone like this where every meeting felt like a deposition, and it's totally demoralizing.

Also, as a former prosecutor, I found it telling that not only did he think jury duty wasn't worthwhile enough to let someone use their PTO for it, but he actually suspended the person without pay who even brought up the idea.

This just might be enough
It would be an extremely embarrassing indictment of the NFL if multiple events of rampant misogyny corroborated by numerous individuals isn't enough to boot him out of the league but the possibility of a racially charged exchange where the subject of the abuse refuses to cooperate is.

Literally eff this guy. Like all the way to the poor house eff this guy.

Yeah. This was crazy. Michael not only yelled at her, they suspended her two days without pay for bringing up the issue at all. Then it seems like they had her write a form email saying it was her fault for essentially overreacting to the situation that they can use whenever anyone asks.

Just wild, awful stuff.

That's only true if you only read the headline. There are tons of new details in here, even if there aren't actions described from within the past 12-18 months.
Lawsuit waiting to happen. Open and shut case, too, I would imagine.

It sounds like she got a cash severance. Usually that brings a full indemnification. It's embarrassing that she had to write/agree to this dumb letter going public. Really Bidwill-brained stuff.

We can only hope that the current HR guy is more sophisticated than this. Shaun Mayo brings more worked-friendly policies he learned at his previous role with...

Walmart. Oof.

Come on. Let's not open that can of worms.
I'm not trying to slander that community or lifestyle. I don't care.

Just pontificating on why Bidwill is such a miserable human. Maybe a better way to phrase it is, "Bidwill's personal life might not be in a great spot and he treats his employees like trash because of it"

Getting involved in jury duty requests by low level employees. Good god what a clown.

I mean that’s the real story here. Regardless of his attitude Michael is an absolutely terrible businessperson if he is doing this sort of thing.
Really, how does this make it to his desk. An HR policy issue that should be nothing to handle. He comes off as a moron.

Don't believe so Jon..they will rally around Bidwill unless someone like Musk puts out the word for a 7 billion dollar purchase
I think what people need to realize is Michael is just another random rich guy if he doesn’t own the Cardinals. And his siblings would be just as rich as him if he sold. The overall thought of all that just doesn’t appeal to him. He’s also obsessed with removing the bad smell of the family legacy.

The hope is that Michael is forced to see his problematic behavior. Unless a person is an extreme narcissist, people can see their faults when they can't run from them.
