Team Management has destroyed the Suns. Lon Babby & Ryan McDonough (aka. Ronald McDonald) continue to drive away all the likeable players & replace them with players that you don't want to root for. I don't think I've watched a full Suns game since Nash left. Even his last 2 years here were hard because of the lack of talent around him. They're just a mediocre team that's just not good enough to make the playoffs & not bad enough to get the best players in the draft... which just continues their mediocrity.

Add in how horrible the officiating is in the NBA unless you're a top team & it's no surprise that no one cares about the Suns anymore.

I wish the Suns were still the suns of the 90's. It would be great with the Cardinals finally being run like a real team to also have the Suns of old.

They ended up in a hole because they kept trying to build around a popular player, one they should have already traded. They are in better shape this season as far as talent goes than they've been in several years. You call them mediocre but even with injuries and unavailable assets (future picks in, current players out), they've outplayed the last 2 seasons of the Nash regime.

You're not alone in your feelings about them but I think they are plenty likable and will win over a lot of fans this season. ESPN and the other pundits ended up looking like fools 2 seasons ago, I look for a repeat of that this season.

No, they ended up in a hole because they kept letting all-star players get away & tried to replace them with bargain basement players.

Joe Johnson ---> replaced with Quintin Richardson & Jim Jackson
Shawn Marion ---> traded to Miami for an over-the-hill Shaq who didn't fit our style at all
Amare Stoudemire ----> left as a free agent... not necessarily a bad move, but they tried to replace him with Hakeem Warrick. Plus, signing guys like Michael Beasley.

2 seasons ago, we had Goran Dragic (replacing Nash) & he earned 3rd team all-nba as a PG... what does the team do? Sign another PG in Isiah Thomas & then let Bledsoe hold them hostage for a near max contract & force their 3rd team all-nba PG to play only SG & SF until he demands a trade mid-way through the season.

Signing Tyson Chandler is a great move for a team that's perennially in the playoffs (or if the Suns had managed to get Lamarcus Aldridge here), but he's not the kind of player that will get the Suns over the hump.

It's admirable that you still have faith in their management, but I've seen too much mis-management in the last 7-9 years since Sarver took over to continue devoting that much time (82 games/season X 2.5-3 hours/game) to the Suns.

We're on the wrong board for this conversation anyways.

Suns are terrible because they keep spending money on guys that are helping them be just below .500 every year and they havent had a high pick because of it. They need to tank for 5 years. It disgusts me, i used to be the ultimate Suns fan and now this new management/ownership has us in literally THE WORST situation in the league. No potential superstars, and no high draft picks, and just enough medicore support guys to get a 35-42 record and get another 13th overall pick.
