Stu Scott just reported we are going to offer Kobe the max at 12 A.M. No new news there...

He also said Utah has become the frontrunner for Kenyon Martin.

Can't imagine Kenyon going to Utah. He will probably sign with them just to force New Jerseys hand. Just like Terry and Magette did last year.

If he signs, I'm going to run naked down the street.

Wifey will probably leave me, but who cares.

One more thing. Ooooh, that was some powerful and energetic reporting by Channel 10's Gayle Jansen. Wow, contain your enthusiasm there, Gayle :insert sarcasm:

The TV local sports bites. Why even have them?

Did he say when the Mavericks were going to be making their pitch? ;)

Mark Cuban is so sneaky he found a new way to circumvent the cap. He is simply going to switch team names on the contract after the league approves the deal.

Then he is going to build Kobe a castle next the arena.

Then he is going to create his own shoe company and release the trade mark shoe "The Kobenator"

That way Kobe would agree to stay in Dallas, and hopefully the league won't notice

It's possible. I read in a magazine that Cuban is very smart.

Lol they say the max, something in EXCESS of 80M$. :stupid:

They say they want to meet with his representatives in LA on Friday.

Well, I hope to god the Suns didnt try and lowball Kobe......

That would be incredible (although could you imagine if Kobe accepted and we had enough cash for a 2nd FA, how cool and impossible would that be!)

JC was quoted months ago saying something to the effect of:

"Sometimes a player has to look at all the money they have earned, and how much more they stand to make in endorsements. Sometimes that makes transactions possible"

That was way before the expansion draft, so I think that was more in case we didnt have max FA money. Still makes you wonder.

Can I have 2 links to sources please??

This just in. Mark Cuban has announced that he has purchased Wal-Mart, Microsoft, and Joe's Crab Shack. And, he still has money left over!

He plans to have Kobe be the Door Greeter at selected Wal-Mart locations.

Okay, I now believe that the Phoenix Suns are targeting everybody in free agency. Well, at least everybody has been mentioned as a possible free-agent target for the Phoenix Suns. Now that Mark Curtis talked about Rasheed Wallace I think every free-agent out there has been linked to the Phoenix Suns at one time or another. I guess I haven't heard anything about Sura yet.

Well since my gf is forcing me to bed now, I cant stay up all night and chat about this.

Anyways, the suns have cap space, so they will be linked to everything. First time we have experienced this in a while.

I bet the suns have

Kobe and Nash on their radar.

If they dont get either, they will sit on the space and look for a trade. I just can't fathom the suns overpaying someone again. They have emphatically suggested teh idea that they may not use all of their cap space this summer, and brought up the trade route multiple times.

Make sure she removes your leash before hand so you don't get wrapped up in it and choke in your sleep. :D
