Yup, they will probably both be in the running for "... of the Year" as I've
posted.
It seems that Phoenix coaches/managers (particularly D-backs managers)
get the award in their first season, then (deservedly) get fired a few
seasons later.
There is just something about Monty that indicates it won't be the case
with him.
And now, I have to say with Jones, I questioned his hiring because of his lack of
experience, with an in-house promotion. Hell, I expected him to be another one
of Sarver's lightweight "yes" men without the credentials to take charge.
I was wrong about Jones. He evidently convinced Sarver to stop micro-
managing and let the people he's hired do their jobs.
And, man, look at the results! Is there any doubt that, if that weren't
the case, the Suns wouldn't be undergoing a rebirth.
