The 2018 offseason will receive all the headlines for the San Antonio Spurs, and while 2017 did not match up to a Kawhi Leonard trade or Tony Parker's departure, it still provided LaMarcus Aldridge's trade request and the arrival of Rudy Gay. Though, the longest deal given out was for Patty Mills, now the longest-tenured, non-Manu Ginobili player on the roster. The Spurs handed Mills a four-year, $50 million contract on the first day of free agency, to return as a backup point guard and shooting guard. An expensive deal for someone that never started more than 18 games in a season beforehand, but acted as a reliable bench presence that stretched the floor. Mills' extension did not play out well,
