After officially signing a two-year deal with the Denver Broncos on Thursday, the tight end shared a message to Broncos Country on his Twitter/X page: "Blessed to be a Bronco! Now let’s make a run "
He followed that up with a perfect GIF that will resonate with fans in Denver:
The GIF is a reference to the "Joker" role he will play in Denver's offense. Broncos coach Sean Payton mentioned repeatedly this offseason that he wanted to add a tight end with elite receiving skills -- a "Joker" that can create mismatches in the offense's favor.
Engram's mom, Michelle Zelina, then broke some news on her Twitter/X page when she shared a picture of Engram's new Broncos jersey:
Engram wore No. 88 with the New York Giants, which is unofficially retired by the Broncos in honor of late wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. After that, Engram wore No. 17 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which is currently worn by Denver receiver Devaughn Vele.
The solution? It appears that Engram has picked jersey No. 1 with the Broncos. Welcome to the Joker era in Denver.
