Do you have ANY confidence that the front office of Sarver, Kerr and Porter could rebuild this franchise up?

Consider that Nash, Amare, Marion, Diaw, Bell, Barbosa, Kurt Thomas, Joe Johnson and Q were all Bryan Colangelo acquisitions.

What makes anyone believe that Kerr or Porter have a clue as to what theyre doing?

There is ONE thing we, as fans, can do. Not support the team. Not watch. Not buy tickets. Not care and hope that Sarver either has some metamorphasis or sells team to someone who wants to win first and formeost.

There's really nothing that will keep me from watching or supporting the team, but I'm sure a losing product + a weak economy will mean lower tix and merchandise sales.

As far as Kerr goes and rebuilding goes...I'm not sure. I mean, he would be starting from scratch, and not trying to patch up something that isn't working and is on the decline anyway. Only time would tell.

Sorry but ridiculous post. This team is not the old Cardinals where the organization had a previous reputation for not caring about the fans or spending money to make the franchise better.

This team has made huge trades, signed free agents, fired coaches and made moves in the front office to make this team better. I hope that it continues and we makes the moves organizational wise or player wise to continue to make this team competitive.

I admit that I don't have any confidence in Porter's coaching ability and Kerr is questionable at best. However, I am willing to see what actions the organization takes over time before declaring that I will no longer support them.

huh, must have been awhile ago, many years ago.

Not true. There have been many changes in the FO over the last few years. Maybe not all of them good but changes.

Again, the point was this team has a history of changing things when it doesn't work. I am not going to stop supporting the team because they have made some bad moves lately.

Now if they turn into the Cards of old or the Detroit Lions who have to see the team become perennial bottom dwellers in the league before making changes...then come and talk to me about not supporting the team. Until then the suggestion is dumb.

I think...
Kerr tried to re-construct a "Spurs" like approach, by bringing in O'Neal (Big man for half court), Porter (defensive experience from Pistons). And his constant preach for get defensive but keep offense... so he also brought in Richardson to neutralize Marion's departure.

However... to be similar to the Spurs....
[1] you need a WHOLE team that caters for defense (the entire Spurs team have high defensive IQs).
[2] Very systematic players who run to spots play vital roles (Coach Popovic approves trades and signings, sacrifices ATHLETISM for HIGH INTELLIGENCE and BALL IQ, and coachability factor).
[3] And a couple of go-to players who can score in both half court offense and during high tempo. (Parker, Ginobili and Duncan)

Now lets study the Suns..
[1] Defensive players: Bell (when he was here) GONE, Hill (above average defender), Marion (versatile perimeter defender) GONE, Diaw (respectable defense down low) GONE.

So you have 1 player who plays above average defense.

[2] High IQ: Nash, Hill, O'Neal, Bell (GONE), Diaw (GONE).
Suns are okay in terms of high IQ players, but its a shame that a couple of key "HIGH IQ players" are defensive liabilities. So it cancels out in a way.

[3] Go to guys: Stoudemire, Nash, O'Neal, Richardson.
Suns have good range of go to guys down the stretch. In fact they have so many go to guys that it cancels out. Stoudemire and O'Neal cancels out under Porter.
Its either Stoudemire + Nash + Richardson.... or O'Neal + Nash + Richardson.
And even then, the go to guys are all below average defenders, so they let as much points scored on them as much as they score for the Suns. Again, impact is low.

If Kerr was given a green light to rebuild. I think he can do a decent job with his policy of "re-constructing" a Spurs like team. But again it has to be from scratch.
Given the green light, I think he can trade away the stars for less talent but higher defensive capabilities but maintain high IQ. Then go for a couple of go-to-guys that can play both sides of the court. (Insert young up and coming stars here)

If Kerr did blow it up, you have to give him time to rebuild or fire he and Porter.

I think its pretty clear on how Kerr and Porter want to build their team. Good defenders, an emphasis around a PF/C who can open up the perimeter and a slasher who can counter a shifting defense.

That is the type of system Kerr and Porter played under and im sure they would love to build the Suns that way.

My IDEAL trades... doesnt have to be realistic, but within cap restrictions.

Nash for Butler + Blatche

Stoudemire for Haslem + Blount + First Pick 2010.

Barbosa + Suns first pick 2010 for Ridnour + Bucks first pick 2010.

You get for 1 year.

C: O'Neal
PF: Haslem
SF: Butler
SG: Richardson
PG: Ridnour

SF/SG: Hill
SF: Barnes
PF/C: Lopez
PF: Blatche
PG: Dragic

Ridnour, O'Neal expire after 2010.

So you have Butler, Richardson to build around.... not to mention a couple of first round picks from 2010.
2010, Suns can attract a big star FA to go with Butler and Richardson...

C: O'Neal
PF: Haslem
SF: Butler
SG: Richardson
PG: Chalmers

Even if I liked your trade (I don't), the Suns don't have their own 2010 first round pick.
