Seattles patchwork Oline just got patchier since Ifredi went down with a high ankle sprain yesterday.

This is almost like an experiment. Finding out how important an oline really is. If Seattle makes the playoffs with this Oline, then the rest of the NFL will forever stop investing in the Oline since it wont be necessary for success.

Good! Something different than all of the SB predictions. I hope this quells the expectations a little.

Seattle is going to miss the playoffs

I agree. Great defense, bad OL and an untested running game...could've described us a few years ago - sans a qb. To offset that, they do have great coaching.

They'll be in it to the end but I think they'll fall short. Well, that's my story anyway.

Helps a lot when you have a QB like Wilson who can play backyard scramble football all day long. Most teams don't have that luxury under center.

I'll be amazed. They will have to win 10 or less to miss the playoffs. Even at 10 they might get in.

Marshawn, even though he played sparingly last year, really covered up alot of the glaring holes on their O-Line. We all know what their D can do.

Seattle's success will ride on their running game. Can Rawls be an effective replacement, FULL-TIME for Lynch?

Rawls isnt even starting right now, Christine Michael got the nod and is pushing him for his job. Ill still find it surprising if they miss the playoffs, the first 4 weeks will give us a good sample to revisit.

I still can't get past the fact that a grown man is named Christine. I've met a guy named Ashley, have a female friend named Ryann, but never a dude named Christine. But I digress..

Seattle is making the playoffs unless wilson gets hurt.

That might be a real possibility when Bradley freaking Sowell is their starting left tackle, but knowing how slippery wilson is I have a feeling he will make it through the year without many hits.

I think Seattle will be fine. It worked for them last year. They went from the worst offense in football to the best offense in football at the end.

Besides the Cardinals crumbling in the playoffs, this was easily the most aggravating part of last season. How they could throw a bunch of DL players together and call it an OL, then torch everybody with it. Definitely aggravating. Probably because it was so fun to watch them flounder at the beginning of the season.

I think they get away with it because it doesn't take an all pro line to run block - as long as you're physical and have good backs. Pass blocking is a challenge. But when you have a super mobile QB like Wilson, I guess it doesn't matter. At least for them it doesn't.

So yeah, I have the Seahawks winning the division and the Cardinals as the wild card. And I'm fine with that because I think that's what they need to stay focused enough to make it to the Super Bowl. The way the Cardinals have problems handling success, if they win the division and have a bye, I think they self destruct again.

Agree with everything EXCEPT the last line... I think if we can clinch the #1 spot and get home field advantage throughout, we will be a very tough team to beat. If we have to travel to Lambeau/Pacific NW in Jan, all bets are off.

It's noteworthy for discussion IMO. I respect the opinion of some of those more than the others.

I'm both with Big Red Rage and NJCardfan.

Yes, predictions are fun to discuss. No, they don't mean diddly. They're only what some fan or writer thinks.

Only thing that counts is what the Cards do on the field (whether it's exceeding expectations vs. GB or laying an egg vs. Carolina).

(Note: There are a few older writers who remember the "bad old days" and will never show the Cardinals any love. Their biases are written in history and part of their DNA).

Discuss, yes, but many people get too wrapped up in them.
Jesus...who pissed in your fruit loops??

It is three days before opening kickoff and Cardinals fans are pumped full of optimism and excitement...it is a yearly tradition

unfortunately we are usually dissecting the next draft by mid October...hopefully that will not be the case this year. Everyone enters the season in their own way...seems best to me to allow others to do it their way even if I don't agree with it....I know I am going to do it my way regardless of who agrees or disagrees with it...
my ol'lady goes into every season all gloomy...then by November she is swearing nobody can beat Arizona, lol.... really is too bad she cant smoke being a medical professional and all...a fat doobie would do that girl wonders.

thats a big part of why I like to look at them, it is interesting to see where we land. that is all. It is simply a discussion topic like top ten lists and etc.

Seattle won't end up being the primary NFC competition. Green Bay, because of their schedule, may go close to undefeated this year.

Seattle's defense takes a small step back due to losing key players and not replacing them adequately. In addition, the o-line is somehow worse than last year, which tests a young, injured Rawles. Granted, Wilson is progressing into a very good QB and Baldwin a good WR, this team is not as talented nor as well-coached as Arizona.

Analysts fall in love with Pete Carrol, Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman because they are talented, but also marketable individuals, which skews perception a bit.

I think this is Arizona's division to lose with Seattle earning a wild card berth.
