I believe there is interest on KW side to get a new contact right now, as I think his value is as high as it's going to be. The price tag probably would have been cheaper this past summer. I for one am glad both sides are talking, I would like to see KW retire as a Cardinal. Never thought I would be saying that, but glad to be wrong.

Retire as a cardinal, yes....

But what do you think it would take for him to go into the HOF as a cardinal? Carazy thought but hey......why not?

Basically....he'd have to win a superbowl here. And if that was the case I'm assuming he would be league MVP because of that. PLUS he loves it here and the Cardinals did the opposite to him what the giants and rams did.......they actually gave him the nod over the younger arm that was currently in that system.

So basically........win the superbowl in the next couple years and we've got ourselves our very first HOF qb

1) Players don't go into Canton as a member of a particular team. Were Warner to go into the HOF, he'd go in with mentions of all his teams, including the Cardinals, obviously. It's not like baseball, where they have a particular cap they're wearing in the official plaque.

2) League MVP doesn't follow with a Super Bowl win because the MVP is announced before the playoffs start. For Warner to win the MVP, (and he is definitely a legitimate part of the conversation at this point) the Cards need to win the division, preferably with at least 11 wins, and he's gotta put up nine more games of the kind of numbers he has. The playoffs are irrelevant to that discussion.

if Warner somehow leads the Cardinals to 11 wins, a division title and 30 TDs, I don't know how anyone else could possibly get the MVP. We're the freaking Cardinals for pete's sake! And if that were to happen, I could see no way he wouldn't get into the Hall. Again, we're the Cards. For anyone to win an MVP with us should make the HOF, much less a previous 2 time MVP/Super Bowl Champ.

If this were to happen, I'm going to invite Moklerman to meet me after the last game of the season with the biggest, greasiest, fat-assed dead crow he can find, and I'll eat it in the UoP parking lot with such a huge grin on my face, that a plastic surgeon couldn't remove it.

11 wins?? Ain't gonna happen... That would mean we go 7 & 2 the rest of the way...
We should win the west however and at that point, anything can happen. If Kurt gets us into the post season, after tossing 30 TD's and putting up close to 4,000 yards, and then wins a playoff game? He's a shoe-in for the HOF... And, fwiw, should also be a shoe-in for the starter in '09!!!! ;)

I don't think it would take that much IMHO He got burned by the Rams and I think if he goes to the playoffs here a few times he would go in as a card. like I said just MHO.

7-2 the rest of the way isn't out of the question when we have 5 more games against our division. We'd just have to beat our division up which we have no excuse not to do, and then beat the Vikings, and steal one game between the Pats, Giants, and Eagles. Not saying it will happen because we are the Cards, but it isn't out of the question.
